Funny you're the broken one but I'm the only one who needed saving

Second chance mate huh

My resolve began to break and the little energy that I had been saving was beginning to waver

So the universe actually gave me a second chance mate. A very shady and shitty one if I may add .

I don't know why but I was surprisingly not surprised. As silly as that sounds.

After all that I have been through this far, I don't think that anything can surprise me anymore

Because,I mean, ... I don't even know what I mean

How many times have I tried to hold? How many times have I tried to look at the positive side of every damn difficult situation that the universe continuously keeps on throwing at me?

I managed to turn over though with difficulty and laid on my back

Zerabi and her rogues didn't take my actions lightly

Instead their growls began to intensify but you know what ,fuck them and their stupid ugly looking mated furs

I wheezed out

Zerabi spoke ,but I wasn't even bothered by it

Of course the devil that was being spoken of just had to be Xerxes.

Judging from the way he called out my name, he must have rushed here and did I hear his voice break at the end?

He then did something unexpected. He kept beside my broken body and gently stroked my hair

"What have they done to you?"

He whispered and I could feel his hand shaking

"Who knew that the great Alpha Xerxes actually had a soft side"

"Why did you do this Zerabi? Haven't you done enough damage already?"

"Oh hush there little Alpha, I haven't even done much and here you are giving me too much credit "

"You come into my lands , cause havoc and injure my mate without any reason and yet you call me hypocritical "
