M.R- I love you?

This is NOT a part 2 of 'what is love' as I am still writing it. This one is a cute, and happy oneshot of my husband. I really hope you enjoy and if not comment on how I can make this better xx

I was just hanging out with my best friend. Mattheo. Oh, Mattheo. It hurts so much to be with him, to spend time with him, to hang out with him, and only for one reason. I am simply in love with him. I knew him for all my life and I really started gaining feelings for him when I was 13- In third year. But when he got his glow up 2 years later I fell way harder. In fourth year, I was delulu enough to think that maybe he liked me back. He flirted with me and I guess sometimes we acted like a couple. Hell, even our friends said that we acted like an old married couple. It must be amazing to date him. I should ask Daphne- his girlfriend... JOKES. She hates me with a living passion.

"auroraaaa, you alright?" theo asks 

"Hmm? yeah I'm fine sorry just zoned out- did you say something?" I asked, flustered that I was thinking about him so much that I completely zoned out

"It's alright. I was just wondering... do you believe in... love?" he asked shyly. That was certainly not the question I was expecting

"Huh? Love? Yeah I do believe in love. Why?"

"It's just... I don't know. I- think I love someone but... it's the wrong person."

"Wrong person? what do you mean?" I ask perplexed

"Well I don't know, me and Daphne have been dating for a year but I don't feel anything towards her... at all."

"I don't think I'm catching on..." I say my heart beating faster

"No... I think you are Aurora." he states looking straight into my eyes

"You're telling me... you're in love with someone else?" I whispered.

"Yeah...."

"Who would that be?"

"You. Aurora I know this is alot to take on board what with me still being in a relationship I don't want to be in and us being best friends I will understand if you will never want to speak to me again but I really needed to say something... it's been gettin really hard to spend time with you knowing we can not be... more than friends and- " i abruptly cut him off 

"Mattheo. I love you too and what you just said basically summarised my feelings for you. But lets do this the proper way. Break up with Daphne if you want to be with me."

"I will Aurora.. and then we will be together?" he asked

"We will." I say smiling from ear to ear
