"oh it's never over" maisie sang along to her jeff buckley cd player as she put her mascara on "all my blood for the sweetness of her laughter" she continued singing "MAIS" yelled her dad "YEAH" she yelled putting her lipgloss on "PARKER IS HERE" he yelled from the stairs "shit" said maisie grabbing her books and shoving them in her bag as she was racing downstairs she smiled at parker mouthing sorry "morning" said her dad handing her a doughnut "hi bye dad" she said hugging him running out the door running into someone knocking there book onto the floor "sorry" she said picking it up and handing it back smiling at the boy "HAVE A GOOD DAY" luke yelled she gave him a thumbs up from outside the window of the diner "jesus you take forever" said parker "actually i've been up since 5 this morning so" said maisie "it doesn't take you 2 hours to get ready" said parker "whatever" said maisie

it was last period of the day science maisie loved science but today she just wanted to go she was tired and wanted to leave "before we all leave im going to pick a name out this jar and you will have to do the science project with them" said the teacher maisie rolled her eyes

it took a while before the teacher got maisie's name "maisie danes" said the teacher maisie sat up straight looking at the teacher waiting the next name "dean forester" said the teacher maisie had no clue who he was

maisie was one of the last people to finish packing up her bag she couldn't help but over hear someone conversation with the teacher "miss patty" said maisie "i'm not much of a dancer" said the boy "no like miss patty will be able to help you find a job" said maisie "that's a good idea" said the teacher maisie just smiled and nodded walking out the classroom "hey wait up" said the boy running behind her she stopped and turned around "are you busy" said the boy "not right now" said maisie "can you show me where to find miss patty" he said "yeah" said maisie as the boy walked next to her "im dean" said the boy "oh your the boy i'm working with for the science project" said maisie he nodded "well i'm maisie" said maisie smiling as the two walked out of the school

"so your new" said maisie "yeah" he said "where did you move from" said maisie "chicago" said dean "oh wow" said maisie "yeah it's pretty different here from there still getting used to things" said dean maisie just nodded "hey is your dad the diner owner" said dean "uh yeah" said maisie "i think you were the one that ran into me this morning and knocked my books" said dean "oh my god was that you" said maisie dean laughed "yeah" said dean "jeez i'm so sorry i was rushing" said maisie "it's fine" he said still laughing

"so this is miss patty" said maisie "maisie" said miss
patty waving "hey miss patty" said maisie smiling "who's your friend" said miss patty "this is dean forester he's new" said maisie "hi" said dean "hes looking for a job and i thought you'd know of one" said maisie "hmm im not sure i'll have to get back to you on that one but i'll let you know right away" said miss patty "thanks miss patty" said maisie waving as the two walked away "ok this is my house" said maisie "the diner" said dean "yeah there is an apartment type thing upstairs" said maisie "oh wow" said dean "goodbye dean" said maisie smiling "bye maisie" said dean smiling back

"where were you we are extremely busy right now" said luke "sorry i got caught up with school work" said maisie running to the back kitchen

"MAIS" yelled someone "IN HERE" she yelled back rory came running "I GOT IN" she yelled "SHUT UP NO YOU DIDNT" yelled maisie back "I DID AHHH" yelled rory as the two jumped up and down "IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU" said maisie hugging rory "woah is everything ok" said luke "RORY GOT INTO CHILTON" said maisie "no way" said luke "congrats rory" said luke high 5ving her

it was closing up time and maisie was finishing up cleaning the tables "i promised kirk i was going to help him with something i'll be back soon" said luke "ok i'm going to shower and go to bed" said maisie luke smiled before leaving

maisie was sitting in bed braiding her hair when luke came busting in "miss patty told me to you that there is a job at dooses for the guy you were with earlier" said luke maisie froze "is that who you were with when you told me you were doing school work" said luke maisie went quiet "maisie why would you lie to me" said luke "because i knew you would get mad" said maisie "dam right i would get mad because it's a lot of work running this diner and you can't just be late because you were with some guy" said luke "you always take things out of proportion it just one guy ok he needed help finding miss patty" said maisie "now goodnight i've got school tomorrow" said maisie luke just walked away
