chapter four !! icecream

almost a whole week had gone by since rorys birthday party and everyday maisie would wait for that phone call at this point she had given up on even thinking he was going to call

maisie was in the bathroom doing her hair it was wednesday afternoon she has meant to be going out to some new icecream shop and then the hayride with dean and clara right as she finished doing hair she heard her father yelling her name "MAISIE PHONE" he yelled "COMING" she yelled she was thinking it was dean "MAISIE" he yelled again "DAD IM COMING" she yelled as she raced down the stairs her dad handed the phone to her giving her a weird look "hello" she said "hey maisie" she heard on the other end "tristan" she said rolling her eyes "before you get mad let me explain myself" he said "i was to nervous to call you i picked up that phone so many times and rang but put the phone back down when i heard your voice i'm sorry" he said maisie let out a sigh "it's fine" she said "your not mad" he said "no but your gonna have to make it up to me" she said smiling he laughed "ok how does friday night sound i'll take you out" he said "sounds like a date" she said smiling  dean and clara walked in the store maisie waved at them smiling "ok maisie it's a date i'll see you then" he said "i'll call you tomorrow" he said "ok bye tristan" she said smiling hanging up

"hi" said maisie "hi maisie" said clara "hey" said dean "just let me grab my jacket" she said running the upstairs "hey luke" said dean luke nodded at him as he continued to work "bye dad" she said kissing his cheek before leaving with dean and clara

clara was little ahead of dean and maisie "who was on the phone" said dean "just a boy i met at rorys birthday" said maisie "hes taking me on a date friday" said maisie smiling dean felt his heart sink "no way" said dean putting on a fake smile "he goes to chilton his name is tristan" said maisie "oh so he's rich" said dean "not sure" said maisie "well i'm happy for you if your happy" said dean smiling "thank you dean i am" she said smiling

clara was in the middle of dean and maisie clara holding both there hands "you know maisie i got a 20 words right on my spelling quiz today" said clara "no way" said maisie "good job" she said high 5iving the girl "yep" said clara being proud of herself

"ladies first" said dean as he helped clara and then maisie up onto the hayride "thank you" she said smiling maisie was sat in the middle of the two siblings "was this your idea" whispered maisie "no it was claras she was begging me" whispered dean maisie laughed "what's so funny" said clara "oh dean just told me a funny joke" said maisie "oh" said clara "so clara" said maisie "yes" said clara "tell me whats your favourite animal" said maisie "a giraffe" said clara

after what felt like forever the hayride finished they were all sat in the icecream place eating there ice cream laughing and having a good time clara looked up from her icecream she had icecream on her nose "clara" said dean maisie was laughing dean wiped it off with a napkin "oopsie" said clara shrugging her shoulders eating her icecream dean shook his head laughing maisie was just smiling

they were all walking back clara had fallen asleep for dean was carrying her "she's so peaceful" said maisie moving the girls hair out of her face dean just smiled "she has been begging to see you again" said dean "awww" said maisie smiling looking at the girl "so do you know where this tristan is taking you" said dean "not yet he told me he'd ring tomorrow" said maisie "yeah" said dean "are you excited" said dean maisie nodded "he was really sweet at the party so yeah" said maisie dean nodded smiling they got to the diner "bye dean thank you for tonight" she said smiling waving "bye maisie" he said smiling as he continued to walk maisie walked into the diner lorelai and rory were eating dinner in there "hey" said maisie smiling at the two they smiled "hey rory can you come help me quickly with this homework thing i have" said maisie rory nodded walking after maisie upstairs of the diner

maisie closes the door "tristan asked me on a date" said maisie rorys jaw dropped "what" said rory "ok so at your party we both ended up talking and then he got my number and he asked me to go on a date friday" said maisie "what did you say" said rory "yes" said maisie "maisie oh my god" said rory "i just wanted to tell you before you found out from someone else" said maisie rory nodded
