chapter eighteen

I get to school, i'm so tired I stayed out late with jade last night. I get to my locker tori's at hers.

"hey tori" I say yawning

"hey y/n, stayed out to late last night?" she asks suggestively

"yes, but not like that," I chuckle and roll my eyes

"yeah right" she jokes "hey so, wanna hangout tonight?" she asks in a slightly strange tone

"yeah sure?"

"okay, meet at nozu at 7:00!" she walks away in a hurry

"that was weird.." I whisper to myself

"what was?" jade question from behind me

I jump "why are you always sneaking up on me?!"

"because it's funny" she answers dryly

"well I don't think it's very funny"

"that's because your no fun" she says back smugly

"really i'm no fun?" I ask rhetorically

she she chuckles, kisses my cheek, and we walk to class together.

after a few hours, and a few classes it's time for lunch. I decide to go to the bathroom before I go to the lunch table. as i'm walking to the bathroom, I see beck standing weirdly close the girls bathroom. I brush it off when I see he's talking to some girl. maybe he's moved on finally. i'm about to wash my hands so I take the ring jade gave me off along with my other ones.

the girl that beck was talking to walks in, she goes in one of the stalls and comes out strangely fast. I'm still washing my hand, she walks by and knocks all my rings on the floor.

"oh my god i'm so sorry let me help!" she says frantically bending down to pick them up

I sigh "it's okay," I bend down to pick up the rest

she hands me the ones she picked up and walks out I walk out with the rings in my hand walking to the lunch table. I get there and sit down placing the rings back on my fingers.

"damn what took you so long, you're always the last one here" andre teases

"I went to the bathroom and this girl knocked all my rings off the sink" I say looking down confused one of the rings is missing it's the one jade gave me

"on purpose?" jade questions with an angry tone

"no I don't think so" I say still confused "hold on i'll be right back.." I get up and walk away

I hear footsteps following me I can tell their jade's. "where are you running off to?" shes asks catching up to me

"one of my rings is missing.." I answer "maybe I didn't see it i'm just gonna look"

we walk into the bathroom together and look around the sink and on the floor.

"which ring was it?" jade asks

I pause for a second "the one you gave me.."

"what?! you lost it?" she questions angrily

"no It wasn't my fault, some girl knocked all of them over!"

"what girl maybe she took it?!" she's even angrier now

"I don't know just some random girl, I really doubt she took it!"

she takes a deep breath, "okay, it's okay let's just look one more time and if we can't find it we'll go ask her, maybe she accidentally took it"

I nod and smile softly, we look around a little bit more and we still can't find it. we leave the bathroom and go outside to the lunch tables, we see the girl and walk up to her.
