Caged in the illusion you created

You say you want my freedom but you catch me in a cage 

You say I am a free bird

 but you feed me lies with every word you sputter
You say we should love each other

 but every action is led by hate
You say you are honest and yet your eyes lie

You imply that you wish me well 

but your heart deceives you

You demand for respect 

but respect goes both ways

 you lie to protect me 

but your intentions are cruel 

you tell me that I did you wrong 

but were your actions just?

When we promised to be kindred spirits was this what you had in mind?

Like a bird that has lost its flock i fly solely to find my destiny

I shall never fear loneliness like you do

I am stronger than you think

Smarter than you think 

More resilient than you think

You take a step forward but i am three steps ahead of your beautiful tainted lies that you wrap me up with

Caught in the illusion that you created

 and now i break free
