After I confessed, I sat and waited for her to wake up, Hazel did tell me that she was acting weird and didn't have food. As she is sleeping I don't dare disturb her. At the same time nurse comes in and tells me that I have to fill out a few forms for discharge, so I go out.
It took me an hour to finish that, and when I came back to her she was with her Mom. She was lost I could tell looking at her face. "Hey Cassandra" I say and she jolts in place, as though she is scared.
She gives me a small simile. While I sat down she told me "Why don't you go home, Mom will be there with me for the next 3 days."
"Why would I do that?" I asked and she said "You must have been tired, Nick might need you in the office, moreover you need rest. However, we are tied to each other for the rest of our lives" in a bitter tone that I couldn't decipher.
"Yes Vincent she is right, you must go home now and rest a bit, you stayed by her when no one else was there, now you must rest when she is fine" her Mom said.
"But Cassandra.." she cuts me off and says "Don't worry Vince I am fine, I want you to be fine, don't worry Mom will be with me."
I agreed with her and decided to rest in the house and make preparations for her to come home. I kissed her temples, but she flinches and looks terrified. I don't mind it thinking it was because of her nightmare and go away.
For the next three days whenever I visited her, she was sleeping or would avoid talking to me. Even when I tried to start a conversation she would be lost in her own thoughts, she was avoiding me is what I feel because whenever I try to touch her, she would avoid contact or flinch.

Today she was to be discharged so I got ready in a white shirt and brown pants. As it was cold I wore a black jacket. I wore my watch that she gifted me on our anniversary and went to my car.

As I walk into her ward her Mom and Dad are talking to her. She was already dressed in a green crop top with full sleeves and white jeans. She was crying, as far as I know, so I asked her "Everything fine Cassandra? Seems like you were crying."
