Asher's POV:
I snuck out again since mom doesn't like me going out late because she doesn't know where I am and I guess that worries her? Anyway I flew to my usual alley roof (the roof on one of the sides of an alley idk 💀). I don't know, I've grown to like it because it overviews the shops at the Centre, an outside mall, you can see little glimpses of peoples' lives like friends being happy families agreeing to buy something for another relative. Suddenly, in the corner of my eye, in the moonlight I could see white wings. Hmm bit suspicious since us Avians usually have black-ish wings or something close to that, but these were BRIGHT white wings. I shifted only slightly trying to see what it was. It was a boy, probably the same age as me, he looked quite pretty in the moonlight, maybe I should say something? Like compliment him or something or at least try and be friends with him. I flew down and pinned him on the opposite alley wall
"Who the fuck are you and why are you on our territory, you dove?!" I say instinctively taking out my pocket knife
'Fuck. And here I was thinking I was gonna make a friend or maybe more NOPE Ashur just has to mess it all up!' I thought to myself, surprisingly not making an annoyed sigh or grunt and keeping the same threatening face,
"Chill out man, I just got here I didn't know it was your property!" Wow he's actually a dove? I just guessed. He seemed pretty nervous but he raised his hands in defense
"Uh huh, whatever." I said backing up from him and turning away (only partially though)
"...well uh- what's your name?" The boy asked. Damn this guy actually wants to know me?
"It's Ashur if you MUST know" I said harshly, gosh I'm such a tsundere.
"I'm Cameron nice to meet you." He gave me a soft look,
'DAMN IT WHY IS HE SO CUTE?!'
"Tch, whatever. Go back to your own place." I said rolling my eyes, he then took flight.
'OH MY GOD I SCREWED UP HES NEVER GONNA COME BACK AND I COULD'VE MAYBE HAD A BOYFRIEND!!' I thought, my hands were in my hair and I was hunched over a bit, y'know, visibly stressed.
"What the fuck did you do this time Ash?" I flinched as I suddenly heard a masculine voice and another set of footsteps. I turned around and was faced with two clowns (literally), I sighed in relief. My two best friends, Livia and Drew, stood a few feet away from me.
"Uhhhhhh, I might've scared someone that I potentially had a small crush on??" I raised my voice higher and higher as the sentence went on, trying to seem as innocent as possible,
"ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" Livia said, obviously not actually mad, she knew better than that,
"OH EM GEE  YOU'VE LITERALLY BEEN SINGLE YOU'RE ENTIRE LIFE-"
"I KNOW LIV, AND HE WAS NICE TOO, oh my goshhh.." Drew just sat there, arms crossed, this was probably normal for him now,
"Gosh Ash you are SUCH a tsundere.."
"I know I knowww" I whined. We then heard more footsteps approaching us
"Wow y'all are louder than usual and that's saying a lot, you're very loud" A high feminine voice said, she then leaned in and whispered the last part to us
"You're VERY loud." .... "But that's okay of course!!!" The energetic pink haired humanoid said
"Hey Sprout!" Drew said, he's probably the most sane of all of us,
"Sprout! You can't keep running away from me like that!" Oh! How could I forget Star, Sprout's older sibling, THEY are the most sane of us all.
"Oopsie daisy!" Sprout said in her high voice,
"Hiiiii Star" Livia said, dragging out the i's.
"Y'all are loud though" Star then said,
"HEY! I HAVE A REASON!! ASH KEEPS BEING A TSUNDERE!!"
"What the fuck is a tsundere-?"
"SPROUT! Language!! Anyway it's someone who acts mean and stuff like that to mostly the person they like" Star explained,
"GASPPP,  ASHY YOU LIKE LIKE SOMEONE???!!! WHO IS IT?!??" Sprout walked towards me leaning farther and farther to my face,
"Uhh, this guy named Cameron, he's a dove-"
"Cameron? Oh my- THAT WASN'T JUST ANY DOVE THAT WAS THE PRINCE OF DOVES" Drew exclaimed, leaning towards me,
"Oh my god my webtoon stories are coming to life- OW!" Drew had nudged Livia, only slightly, drama queen,
"Yes, yes!! I know 'he's from the rival kingdom! Blah blah blah' "I said moving my hand like it's a puppet,
"WOAHH ASHY, you like a dove~, you like a dovee..." Sprout started chanting while skipping around me like some summoning circle,
"Sprout stop" Star said "but yeah dude this IS kinda of serious" Star turned to me also crossing her arms (which was kind of amusing since she was right next to Drew who was also agreeing with her).
"I knowwww, can we just sleep on it and talk 'bout it tomorrow??" I said, to be honest I was kind of tired so it wasn't a complete excuse. Livia nodded and Sprout just stared at me with her beady black eyes,
"Fine but I'm NOT dropping this." Star said, Drew turned to her and nodded, then back to me,
"Yeah- okay- I'm.. gonna.. gooo now" I said spreading my wings. Immediately when I took flight- like 3 minutes after, I heard Liv say:
"He's soooo in love!" And then Sprout saying "Frfr!!" Lmao
