Wayfinder hurriedly swam to class with her book bag. She angled her wings in the current and let the water carry her forward faster. 'Oh moons! I'm late again! This won't be good.' Wayfinder furrowed her brows in worry. 'I hope I don't get detention again' Wayfinder thought. She then arrives at school and swam out of the current and into the classroom trying to subtly go to her seat. "Wayfinder you're late again." Her teacher flashed in aquatic. 'Oh moons!' She thought."Sorry Ms. Ripple" Wayfinder flashed "I Should have you miss the field trip today but this is important so I'll just make you reorganize the shelves." Ms. Ripple flashed pointedly. "Yes Ms. Ripple" She flashed. "Good. Now partner up with a friend and swim closely together" Ms. Ripple ordered. Wayfinder looked around to see who didn't have a partner yet and recognized the twitchy seawing from the jewelers. Wayfinder swam up to him and waved again. The seawing jumped slightly but waved back. "Do you want to be my partner for the trip?" Wayfinder flashed. The seawing nodded and swam next to her as they all got into a bait ball position.

The class followed their teacher upwards to the surface and Wayfinder noticed a shadow flickering over the water. 'There it is again. I wonder if I'll get to see it' She thought as they breached the surface of the water and onto a tropical beach. "Welcome to the surface" Ms. Ripple spoke. Wayfinder was slightly alarmed by this and yelped. She then put her talons up to her throat as her classmates looked in wonder. "It may be your first time out of water so you will be learning to walk on land today. For those who have been out of water and know how to walk you can explore the village a but but come back at afternoon when the sun is more westward" Ms. Ripple said. Some of the students nodded as they exited the water. Most of the students collapsed as they left water and tried to push themselves up but failed. "You are heavier out of the water because it takes some of your weight." Ms. Ripple explained. Wayfinder managed to lift her head and look around at the beautiful tropical beach around her. She them noticed a black and white dragon staring at her from the treeline. 'Odd' she thought curiously qs some of the older students made their way past the younger students and into the village. "Let's help you up. Gather your legs beneath you and push against the floor" the teacher instructed. Wayfinder did as told but stumbled a bit before she got caught by her buddy. "Need a talon?" He asked. "You can speak?" Wayfinder looked around then at herself as she realized that she was talking. "I knew we would sound different then underwater when we practiced but never this different!" She exclaimed. She then sat down and looked around at her classmates struggling to stand. Wayfinder looked at the treeline again and saw a flicker of charcoal-black and snow-white scales going deeper into the trees. 'Who is she?' Wayfinder thought before getting a slight headache and dull visions of 4 other dragons and her stopping a green seawing and a reddish-orange dragon from doing something before she snapped out of it and followed her class back to the sea
