The voice of a young woman called out to Jericho.
"Good morning, Jericho, honey, darling!". It was a familiar and beautiful voice, it was full of energy, love and care calling to him, it was as if a beautiful life called out to him.

He got up immediately to hug them but as he opened his eyes, he was still in his room, on the floor with only undergarments. He looked at the clock and saw it was already 2 pm, this meant school would be finished in 2 hours. He was already too late and yet he felt a sense of relief that he didn't go to school

He later walked down the stairs to the living room and sat on a couch facing the TV. He didn't say anything, he looked at an empty black screen. It was silent but then the TV turned on.

"You're not even gonna watch?". A woman sat down next to him and they both watched TV. It was an awkward silence but a peaceful one. The woman broke the silence and said in a casual tone. "Jericho, I know it's hard but you can lean on me for help you know?". Jericho looked right at the woman's direction and she was nowhere to be seen. Just an empty seat

He laid down on the couch, it was uncomfortable but he didn't care. He heard a loud ding upstairs in his room, he got up and walked all the way there. He saw it was an friend on the messaging app he frequents.

"You up to play today?"

He was going to reply but just stopped, he felt his body give out but before he did, he went on a music streaming service and played music before collapsing to the floor again. He heard voices of people talking to him, jokes he heard, he'd reply to them sometimes but eventually he realised. He was only talking to himself, those things were in the past now and there's nowhere else to return to.
