A soft noise echoed throughout the empty castle room which contained the castles large ancient staircase. Two enormous fish floated their way down the stairs making thumping sounds every time they flick their tails annoyingly too keep the room from stopping it's steady echoing beat. As they made their way down another creature appeared, but this time it was a bull. A large determined bull which looked as if it could accomplish anything desired just by the touch of it's hoof. When the fish finally reached the bottom of the staircase the bull trotted too them in a slow pace while speaking in a heavy voice.
"Eve, Ju- Ah, I mean Pisces. Is it already time?"
Pisces circles around each other in amusement.
" All these years and you still can't call us by our ancestors name Taurus." One of the fish giggled teasingly. The other simply continued his brothers sentence. "Yes, Its time Taurus. We have already gathered Gemini, Libra and Scorpio."
Taurus gave an uneasy glance at the pairs surprising magnificent corporation but quickly revived his determination.
"Shall I go fetch Aquarius and Cancer?" Taurus asked as he slowly became serious. A little surprised by his sudden change of attitude both fish nodded, turned and floated away too find the last of the zodiac rulers. Sighing Taurus trotted with a sinking heart. "2,000 years went faster than ever, it's still hard too believe we are finally finished with our roles as guardians and rulers. I must choose wisely, no mistakes shall occur hopefully." Taurus thought as he dragged himself too where a beautiful mermaid and an over-sized crab where discussing something quietly. and chuckling between sentences. "Flirty as always, why don't you both just have your damn babies and get it over with." Taurus joked as he made his way to them.
"W-we are so not flirting! No just.. friends that's all!" Aquarius stammered as she suddenly swung her vase in the air making it spill endless rivers of water over them. Cancer stumbled around as he tried too grip into the ground. "Ah, Sorry!" Aquarius yelped as she put her vase down. Cancer then mumbled gently too her.
" Its fine, isn't it your time anyway. Aren't you November?" Aquarius shook her head in a displeased way, probably because he couldn't remember her month. Before she could speak Taurus cut her off in a loud voice which had a hint of sadness in it.
"We won't need to do that anymore, Tomorrow is the start of the 2,000th year." Aquarius's eyes suddenly darkened as she lowered her voice even more. Cancer too went silent.
"It's hard to believe, What will happen to us? All of our times, memories spent together. Our friendship will be gone?" Aquarius asked as her eyes started together to water and faint wrinkles appeared between her brows and forehead. Cancer also looked pained at the thought of leaving the Zodiac world. Slowly he began too glow only seconds later he became a human- like crab with long spiney legs sticking from his back and his nose and cheeks covered in spines. He also developed a crabs orange and red color into his hair which was shaggy and soft-looking. He stepped towards Aquarius and embraced her. She lifted her arms around his neck and began too softly weep as she too transformed into her human form. Unable too say anything Taurus trotted away leaving them alone.
"It's going too be hard on Aries and Sagittaurius." Taurus thought as he remember both of them we're brother and sister. Taurus returned to the large staircase only too find Leo prowling around chasing after some yarn. Taurus roles his eyes and murmured too himself. "Oh how immature, thinking he can be a little kitten when he thinks no one is watching. At least some furball knows how too act like a complete clown. Although in his human form he somehow inhabited a regular cats traits instead of a furious lion which must of effected his zodiac form. Taurus wandered away from the kitten-like lion and gazed at the sky as he stepped out of the castle. " Tomorrow, Might just be our last day." Taurus mumbled out loud not noticing Libra was behind him the whole time.
