{Dani}

After Santana and Dani left Dani's lake house, they went to a night club. Santana had been skeptical but didn't question Dani, who seemed pretty upset about what had happened. Santana had tried to get Dani to talk about it, but had been unseccessful. They parked in the front parking lot and caught up with a group of girls, blending in and slipping past the bouncer. Once inside, Dani rushed over to the bar and got three shots of whiskey, handing one to Santana and taking two for herself.

"Wow." She grinned once she had downed the hard alcohol. "That was amazing!" She ordered a beer and gulped it down, but Santana grabbed her arm before she could flag the waiter for another, and dragged her to the dance floor. Dani was tipsy, and she was laughing at almost everything, but she managed to stay on her feet most of the time. Eventually, Dani and Santana both got tired and went to sit at the bar. "You know," Dani slurred, "My mom has hated me since I was six." Dani sighed and took a long drink from the margarita she ordered. "I remember when she met David's dad. They were here for... for the summer. And she intro-intr-introduced me as 'The Product of a Failed Marriage' and they just laughed and laugh... laugh... laughed." Santana held Dani in her arms. So, maybe, Dani was totally drunk. And maybe, she wasn't thinking so clearly, but you don't just make something like that up.

"Do you wanna go back to my house? You look pretty tired..." Santana said. Dani shook her head rigorously.

"No! I love it here! Besides, I haven't finished my magrita." Santana laughed at Dani's drunk pronunciation.

"Okay." She whispered.

Dani went out and danced more, but Santana was alone at the bar, watching her.

"That your girlfriend?" The waiter asked her. He was Asian, and he had short black hair, that had way to much gel in it.

"Uh, yeah." Santana said.

"Why don't you go dance with her?" He asked.

"She's had a rough night and I think she just wants to be alone." Santana said softly. The waiter nodded.

"I'm Wes." He said, sticking out his hand. Santana took it. "And you are...?"

"Santana." Wes nodded and laughed. It was a friendly laugh, and it made Santana trust him just a little more.

"So, Santana, you don't look old enough to be drinking." Wes said, raising his eyebrows questioningly.

"I have an I.D." She said, inwardly kicking herself for telling him her real name.

"It's okay." He laughed. "You go to McKinley, right?" Wes asked, imidiately setting off warning bells in Santana's head. "Blaine told me!" Wes said, as if reading Santana's thoughts.

"Blaine Anderson?" She asked.

"Yeah. I go to Dalton." Wes says.

"So you're not old enough to be working here?" She quizzes him.

"Technically I am. But if anyone from school found out..." He blew up his cheeks with air and then let it out, suggesting that all hell would break loose.

"Are you in the Warblers?" Santana asks, leaning in and resting her head on her palms. She notices Wes stand up a little taller at the mention of Dalton's Glee Club.

"Captain, actually." He announces, a proud smile making it's way to his face. "I-" he was cut off by a loud crash coming from the dance floor. "Dammit!" He yelled, running over and helping to drunk figures off the ground. Santana walked over to see what was going on, and saw Dani standing nervously in the crowd of tipsy onlookers.

"Hey," Santana said, grabbing her hand, "you wanna go back to my place now?" Dani nodded her head and wrapped her arms around Santana's waist for support. Santana looked over her shoulder and nodded goodbye to Wes before heading out the door with Dani.

Santana got up around ten-thirty, making her way to her kitchen wearing short shorts and a tank top that fit her body perfectly. Her parents were both at work since it was Saturday, so she and Dani had the day alone. Santana smiled at that thought, even though she knew from experience that after drinking that much, you'd have a killer hangover. She poured herself a cup of coffee and headed to the table, turning the TV on. She watched cartoons for a while, before becoming way too bored and opening up her laptop.

1 Message

Santana frowned, and opened the message.

Hay Santena! How r u? Coledge life is grate! We havant taked in fourever. I mis u.

-Brit

Something inside Santana told her to delete the message and pretend she never got it. But another part of her argued, because this was Brittany after all.

Hi Brittany. We should definitely talk about a few things. Can you skype tonight?

Santana hit send before she could lose her nerve. And also before she realized that Dani didn't have anywhere else to stay until she worked it out with her parents- and that wouldn't happen today. Santana let out a sigh and walked quietly up to her room, peeking in to see Dani's sleeping form.

"Santana..." Dani said quietly. "I love you." Santana smiled, thinking how cute Dani was when she sleep-talked.

"I love you too." She responded, so softy it was almost to herself.

It was almost six when Brittany's Skype call came in. Dani wasn't up yet, so after a few seconds of debating, Santana answered.

"Hey." She said, taking in Brittany's blurry figure. She could see her familiar blonde hair, and her gorgeous blue eyes, along with adorable clothes. Santana had always admired Brittany's sense of style.

"Hey Santana." Brittany said, sounding shy.

"Look, this is super awkward. But I think we really needed to talk," Santana said, leaning forward. "I know it's been a while but, you know... You're still my best friend Brit. And that's why I think you should be the first to know... I've got a girlfriend." She saw Brittany's eyes widen, and her mouth make an 'o' shape. "I know it's only been two months, but Dani's really special and she makes me feel full."

"Full?" Brittany asked. Santana nodded, tears dotting her eyes.

"Yeah. Like when we were together. Ever since you left, I've just felt empty. And with Dani... I don't feel that way."

"I don't know if I should be happy or sad." Brittany said in that small, lonely voice she has. "You're with someone who makes you happy, and that's all I want for you. But that someone's not me, and I want that for me." She says, looking down.

"Brit, I still love you. I'll always love you. Remember what I told you in the choir room when we broke up? When you first told me you were leaving? I said I'll always love you the most. I meant it, Brittany. Don't forget that."

"Then why are you with someone else?" Brittany asked, a confused tone in her voice.

"Because I have to move on."

"Hey." Santana whispered, walking into her room to see Dani laying on her bed looking at the ceiling.

"Hey." She croaked in response. It had been three long hours since her and Brittany had ended their Skype call, and it was four in the afternoon. Rain was pouring from the sky heavily, and the sound against the windows was making Dani's hangover-headache even worse.

"How are you feeling?" Santana asked, sitting next to Dani on the bed.

"I'm okay. Actually no, I'm terrible. My head hurts, I feel like I'm going to puke, and you're not laying next to me." Dani smiled up at Santana, who in turn beamed down at her.

"Well that's not gonna happen until you take a shower." Dani frowned and slowly sat up, before jumping out of bed and running to the bathroom. Santana winced as she heard Dani throwing up. Standing up, she walked to the bathroom and kneeled beside Dani pulling her hair back.

"I'm sorry. I'm sure this isn't how you wanted to spend you Saturday." Dani laughed quietly before throwing up again.

"I don't mind. I think you needed a little alcohol after what happened with your mom yesterday." Santana said. Dani pinched the bridge of her nose.

"Don't remind me." She said softy.

"When you're sober, and no longer hungover we have to talk about it though." Santana said firmly, brushing Dani's tangled hair into a messy ponytail.

"Why?" Dani whined, looking at Santana with puppy eyes.

"Because you have to stay somewhere... Your mom made it pretty clear she doesn't want you back." Dani nodded and sighed.

"Is it alright if I shower?" She asked Santana. Santana laughed and helped Dani up.

"It's more than alright."
