Francis awoke to a loud pounding on his bedroom. The country raise out of his sleeping state to open the door only to find a familiar face staring back at him.

"Mathieu, Alfred didn't say you were 'ere." His brows furrowed in confusion.

The boy was identical to the country of free health care and maple syrup. The same violet eyes, soft fluffy blonde hair, the gravity defying curl, and pale skin. The boy's face dropped.

"I'm David and the state of Maine, your wake-up and tour guide. I'll be back in five minutes so please be dressed when I return." Matthew Jr. said with a complete emotionless face before running down the hall, perhaps to alert another country.

The country of love found himself wearing a cotton blue button up and denim jeans.

The boy, David was soon back like he stated with the others. Many looked as if they had rolled out of bed and had barely change.

"I just have to ask one of my siblings something and then Father said to escort you to the meeting room."

David led the countries through the countless hallways of the house like maze.

A azure blue door came into view.

"Minnie? Swiss? It's me Davie." The countries heard a loud lock drop alarming several of them.

"Sarah Aarons heard the call of her dear brother." A semi-tall girl leaned on her side with the door, hiding the room from view. Her body was hidden by a long heavy coat and thick gloves. Her face was very pale and her blonde hair and blue eyes seemed washed out and toned down her obvious beauty. David just looked mildly ticked off.

"I didn't call for you now did I?"

"Oh brother dearest, our fellow sisters are dealing with a bit of trouble at the moment."

"I'm not blood related to any of you. I'm New England and you three are French Canadian. We have absolutely nothing in common." He shoved his hands into the pockets of pants.

"We're all American. And that makes us related." Michigan pushed her brother's glasses up so they didn't slip and fall.

"Where's Minnie? It's information about the party." The young adult groaned before yelling behind the door she was blocking.

An almost silent whisper peeped out. "Coming." A small head popped out. She was a few inches shorter than both Michigan and Maine. She looked almost like a feminine version of Canada,(the only big difference was her haircut was remarkably longer).

"Minnie Mouse to Maple Syrup, ready as I'll ever be." Her voice was both higher and quieter then her sister's.

"The stitches came undone but the package is savable. Improvement needs a cross-stitch on left. I'll have Mari-El do it tonight."

"Affirmative. Now about the-"

"Done." He brought out an old cigar box and handed it to Minnesota.

"Merci. The meetings in 10 don't forget your report." She then slammed the door shut on the state and countries.

"Let's go." David kept his eyes on the brown doors they were passing, counting everyone, murmuring in French as he did.

"What are we doing today?" Italy asked rubbing his eyes and glancing across the corridor.

"A meeting, sir." Maine had a severely angry face. "With the other states."

"Zhey're your siblings, non? Zhen why are you upset?" France looked at the blonde with a pitiful and confused look.

"You try spending an hour evey month sitting next to someone who has totally different morals and traditions and the only reason you see yourself related is the fact you belong to the same union." David smacked back looking Francis dead in the eyes.

"Hermano?" A small voice asked. "¿Eres tu?"

A small boy poked out from behind a hallway. Messy bed head and ruffled clothes.

"Lo que está mal Soarin?"

Maine looked over and groaned as if he dealt with annoying children everyday.

"Carlos disappeared." The two words rolled off the small boy's -Soarin's- in an uneven pattern as if he was unaware of the meaning behind them.

"Lo que le pasa a mi hijo?" France kneeled down and asked Soarin.

"Carlos es mi traductor. No mucho Inglés."

"Perhaps he iz with your papa, no?"

"Probably. Come on." Maine picked his younger brother up like a sack of potatoes and led the countries into a meeting room.

It greatly resembled the one where they had UN meetings but didn't have as many chairs. 52 spots each with a name plate and a body in their required seat. Many states had their electronics out, a few magazines and France was sure he saw one cleaning a gun.

America was sitting in a seat while next to him on the floor a young Hispanic boy was reading a book. Soarin squirmed out of David's arms and ran to his other brother.

Alfred turned and smiled when he saw his fellow countries. He turned to the stats for a second.

"The Meeting begins."

Sorry about no updates for about 2 months. High School started, my mom's getting married, and writing a musical are my excuses. Also if any of these translations are wrong please tell me. I'm Hispanic but don't know any Spanish so I rely on Google Translate for everything.

If you have any thing to say about your state I always encourage comments.
