February, 2009, Stamford, Connecticut authorities received a 911 call.
A woman said that her pet chimpanzee was mauling her friend, Charla Nash.
Her descriptions are very detailed and the caller says she believes Nash is dead.
She repetitively reports that it "was eating her" and "was ripping her face off". When the police arrived they killed the chimp.
Charla was left in critical condition. She was treated by specialists but lost her eyes, nose, and jaw.
