My Dearest, My Only One
For years, my life was incomplete
Full of worries, full of troubles
Full of fears, knowing not where to go.
Then I met you, my love
Though at first, my eyes have not seen you
That good, free-spirited soul
Missed you I almost did.
But the heavens let it happen not
The angels opened my blind eyes
Love planted the seed in my heart
The Lord renewed my tired soul.
Today, here I am
Completely fallen for you
You may not see me for who I am
You may never love me at all.
But this I tell you now
You already own my heart
Hold it dear, close to your heart
Don't let it go, my love
Me dearest, my only one.
