being "pretty" in this day and age isn't about having the most desirable features, because you are beautiful to someone. If you don't like the look of someone, that doesn't mean they are not beautiful. "beauty is only skin-deep," is the most cliché but truest words you will ever hear.
i wanted to write this poem because so many people believe that, "oh, she's pretty, guess her life is perfect." that is not true. people struggle, regardless of beauty or how desirable they are. i wrote this to highlight that nobody is perfect - no matter how many cliché sayings people use, they are almost indefinitely true.
you are all beautiful. i hope you know that.
