No. Only story content will be counted. Author's notes and casts will not affect your word count.
Do you accept stories categorized as Nonfiction and Random?
No, we don't accept titles categorized as random or that are nonfiction.
Can I enter the same story for both 30DC and 8CC?
Yes, you can, as long as it meets the respective challenge guidelines.
Are mature entries allowed?
Mature entries are allowed as long as they follow the Wattpad Content Guidelines.
Do I need a premium subscription to join?
No, you don't need Wattpad Premium. You can join from a normal (free) account.
I do not have many followers and very few read counts, will that affect my chances of getting selected?
The number of followers a writer has, or readership on previous stories is irrelevant to the challenges.
How can I nominate a friend?
Tag your Wattpad friends in the comments section of the chapter/post you'd like them to see.
