It came to my attention some months ago (when I first wrote this poem) that some of my readers are unaware of what, exactly, poetry is or what it is meant to be. Despite my first person poems, I assure you that I do not believe I am a werewolf, nor have I ever had a vampire boyfriend.
Poetry is designed to be emotionally true. That's why some types of poem aren't "meant" to mean anything, where the poem's only meaning is whatever it means to the reader.
