I wake up to see no one was with me but Gio. I had went to sleep with Daryl in the tent.

Did I over sleep?

I walk out to see Lori and Carol hanging up laundry.

"Good morning sunshine, up and at em, we got a lot of ground to cover." I yawn sleepily and I see Gio crawl out after me. I pick him up and go to the group.

I stand next to Daryl who was putting on over shirt.

"You didn't wake me up this morning." I say petting Gio softly. He scruffs little Gio and then looks at me.

"You look like you needed it, plus, it gave your ankle a little bit of rest. How is it doing anyway?"

"It's fine, I'm ready to go out and look for Sophia." He wraps his arm around me and smiles.

"All right, everyone's getting new search grids today." Rick said looking at the map. "If she made it as far as the farmhouse Daryl found, she might have gone further east than we've been so far."

"Nothing about what Daryl found screams Sophia to me." Shane said sitting in the passenger seat of a car, his back was turned toward us. "Anyone could have been holed up in that farmhouse."

"Anybody including her, right?" Andrea said looking at him.

"Whoever slept in that cupboard was no bigger than yay-high." Daryl said biting on his finger.

"It's a good lead." Andrea said while leaning on the car hood her cleavage all out.

"Maybe we'll pick up her trail again." Rick said looking at the two of us.

"No maybe about it. I'm going to use Buttercup. Maybe head up this ridge right here, take a bird's-eye view of the whole grid. If she's up there, I'll spot her." I said looking at the map.

"Good idea." T-Dog said looking at me smiling. I nod my head slowly. "Take Daryl with you, maybe he'll see his chupacabra up there too."

"Chupacabra?" I ask look at Daryl trying not to laugh.

"You never heard this? Our first night in camp, Daryl tells us that the whole thing reminds him of a time when he went squirrel hunting and he saw a chupacabra." I look at Daryl who was just nodding the whole time.

I laughed hard with Rick and T-Dog.

"What are you braying at, jackasses?" Daryl said asking all three of us.

"You believe in a blood-sucking dog?" T-Dog asked still laughing.

"Do you believe dead people walking around?" Daryl shot back and I raised my hands up in surrender while still laughing really hard.

Andrea goes to grab the shotgun Rick had. "Woah woah woah. You've ever shot one before?"

"Well if I am going out there I want one."

"Yeah, and people in hell want Slurpee's." Daryl said following me to the stables.

I saddle up Buttercup and look to the side to see Gio on my shoulder hissing at Buttercup. "Hey you two cut it out! If you guys can't get along I'm not taking either one of you."

They both hushed up really quickly and I looked to see Daryl looking amused at me while leaning up against the wall.

"What is it?" I asked softly putting my hand on my hip.

He shakes his head and walks over to me grabbing my hand. "I'm just glad I get to spend the whole day with you."

I smile at him and we just stare at each other for a really long time. Even though we weren't saying anything, it was like we were having a whole big conversation.

Suddenly, I feel something behind me shove me into Daryl. I guess he wasn't expecting it because we both fell on the floor. I look behind me to see Gio on Buttercup both looking amused. Even Buttercup was neighing and jumping up and down.

"You two are so evil!" I say laughing. I went to go get up but Daryl kept me down. I looked him into his eyes to see that they were greener than ever, a little hint of blue in them.

He was inching closer to me. My heart started beating faster and faster.

Suddenly, his lips touched mine and I could swear to you, that everything went away. The barn, the camp, the people, the apocalypse. It just all went away. There was only me and Daryl. Together. I wrapped my arms around his neck slowly and pressed more into the kiss. I could feel my whole body on fire. I needed him right now, I just needed his love, his attention. Everything. I could feel him snake his arms around my waist pulling our bodies together.

Suddenly, someone cleared their throat and I jumped so far away from Daryl I practically was under Buttercup. It was Carol.

"Shouldn't you guys be out looking for my daughter?" She asked and I put my fingers on my lips nodding.

"Uh yeah, yeah, we are doing that now. Right Daryl?" I asked and I saw his face was red as a tomato frozen like me. He got up first and nodded his head.

"Yeah, we'll see you later Carol." Daryl held out his hand and I took it. He mounted Buttercup first and I followed putting my hand on his shoulder.

I kick her softly in the butt and she starts off in a nice steady jog. I looked at Carol to see her giving me a dirty look until we went out of eye shot.

Most of the ride we both stood quiet. I was scared to wrap my arms around him. He was so stiff... maybe I wasn't a good kisser. Maybe he didn't like me anymore because of it. I sighed to myself and I looked at Gio who was between us. He kept looking back n forth between Daryl and me.

He started whining.

"Shh boy... what's wrong?" I asked softly but he just kept whining. "Come here boy." I picked him up and held him to my chest. I quickly grabbed onto Daryl's side when I thought I was going to fall. He held my hand there with his own and continued riding.

That's when Gio stopped whining.

"You dirty dog." I said to Gio and laughed. Daryl pulled my arm so that it was all the way around him. He did the same with my other arm.

I laid my head on his back for the ride. He wasn't mad at me. I was glad.

He removes my hands for a second and gets his crossbow out. He shoots something and all I hear is a THUD sound. He moves the horse and we come upon his arrow who has a dead squirrel on the end of it.

"Holy crap." I said wide eyed. He gets off the horse and collects it. "That was amazing."

He smirks at me and guides the horse to where we needed to go. I look down to the creek area to see something in the distance.

"Daryl hold on." I say softly and get off the horse. I walk down to the creek and I see Daryl tying up Buttercup while putting Gio on his shoulder. I soon get down there and the thing that was lying in the water was Sophia's doll.

"Oh, my God Daryl look!" I say running up to it and picking it up. "Sophia!" I shouted but there was no reply.

"Come on, she has to be close." Daryl said and we run up the hill getting on Buttercup. We continue up this big hill type thing.

"Do you think she's close? We have to find her we just have to." I say getting excited. "This is the closest thing we have found since we started looking."
