"See, I've been pushing her away for several times already but she keeps on coming back." I simply say.

"But you keep on letting her in." She fires back

"Dahil mahal ko sya." I counter.

"Kahit alam mong mali."

"Hi Luis! Kamusta?" Dave gave me a warm embrace. I was so happy to see him. "It's been what? Ten years?"

He fetched me at the airport dahil sya lang naman ang alam kong makakasama ko all my stay here. I mean I probably be here for good, so... 😅

"Yeah, grabe sobrang na miss ko ang Pinas! Warm weather, sweet people.."

"Parang ako?" Biro nya. We jumped in his car after he put my luggage in the trunk and we head off.

"Hahaha! Malamang isa ka na rin dun!" Sinuntok ko sya ng marahan sa braso nya. He flinched from that.

"Tamang tama ang dating mo babae, kasi may gig kami mamaya."

"No way manong. Jet Lag is life." I said.

"It's still early, you know? You still have time to rest. But let's have lunch muna tapos hatid kita sa apartment mo,then susunduin kita ng 6:30 kasi 7pm ang roll namin."

Ibinaba ko ang sandalan ng upuan ko and I lay back trying to get some nap. And obviously ignoring him.

"Nu ka ba! Masaya yon. Ayaw mo bang makilala ang special girl ko?"

I smile and remain silent.

College friend ko si Davey or manong 😁😁 it's been ten years. We were actually like siblings. We're both only child din kasi, so he became my big brother at baby sister nya ako. We're bestfriends.

After we had lunch, he drove me to my new apartment which he got for me two weeks before I came back.

"Nagustuhan mo ba ang new crib mo?" He wiggled his brows.

"Yep, and thank you. I love the kitchen, though." I chuckled.

"Of course, all for my dear Patiessier. Para mas lalo ka pang ganahang mag bake."

I shrugged my shoulders in a smile.

"Anyway, I need to l itgo. Pick you up at six, yeah?"

"'Kay, and thanks again."

I woke up from the sound of a car honking outside my house.

Oh crap, I forgot that he's gonna pick me up. What time is it? I checked on the clock and ran downstairs to open the door. It's Dave. But aside from his car, there's another car behind his.

"Ano ba naman yan babae?! Why aren't you ready yet? I told you that I will pick you up at six, dude." He said. He was with a  girl that I assumed is his girlfriend. Which I was right.

"By the way, this is Trish my girlfriend," pakilala nya.

We smiled at each other and I gave her a welcoming embrace.
