Soulmates?

A quick glance in the dark

A quick dance and heart intact 

My hand in yours,  your hand in mine

You whispered in the dark that you were mine 

"I came here for you tonight," you yelled above the loud music

"I know I came here to meet you!"

Then a kiss, and a meteorite 

Felt like the stars had just aligned 

Time might have stopped for that night

But as quick as it came, it was gone

Though history cannot be erased

Not when a simple kiss can move planets

Or when two bodies can merge

And feel like a single soul.
