Chapter 26

Depression:

Jay drove us to Mason and my apartment, I didn't bother to talk at the ride home I didn't have the energy to. We arrived at the apartment, we went inside and I instantly went into my room.

I locked the door so they wouldn't bother me, my stomach grumbled but I ignored it I just laid down on my bed and silently cried. How could it happen so fast? Just a few hours ago she was so happy and well, now she's going to be buried, not even seeing her daughters move forward.

"Y/N can you please come out? Cam and Harper are almost here and would like to see you" I heard Mason knock on the door, I didn't respond but finally had the courage to say,

"Leave me alone.. please" I rest my head on my knees.

"You know that will make things worse, please Y/N come out" He tried talking me out of my room but I ignored him, I wanted to be alone at the moment, I wanted to die to join my mom.

After a while he stopped trying, I could hear his footsteps go downstairs. I just looked at the ceiling blankly, the only thing I could hear was the guys talking downstairs. I heard the front door open then close, hearing footsteps go upstairs.

"Y/N? Please open up" Was that Cam? I could hear his soothing voice. Tears went down my cheeks again, remembering what happened.

"I know you can hear me love, this isn't healthy for you to do" I covered my mouth as I cried, I didn't dare speak, I heard the door unlock and open. Mason and Cam were there, Cam gave Mason a key then Mason left.

"Are you ok?" Those words just made me lose it, I started crying in front of him, he made his way over to me and hugged me. None of us said anything, he just caressed me in his arms.

"I'll always be here for you baby. I will never leave you alone, I know you're hurting right now but know you have friends and a sister who loves you so much, I know I never met your mother but I know she doesn't want you to be like this. Especially I don't want you like this, I'll help you in every possible way. I promise baby"

I looked up at him, he smiled sweetly down at me, he wiped my tears away. Then we kissed, I missed this feeling so much.

"Let's go downstairs, there's something you need to see" I just nodded, we both went downstairs to see the boys around Mason's laptop. All of them looked up, Harper was the first to get up. She went up to me and hugged me, I held back tears.

"I'm sorry for your loss" I nodded, we parted ways then the guys stood up.

"Y/N there's something I need to tell you, have a seat" I looked at Mason then at Cam, he just signaled me to sit down. I went to sit down, Mason held his laptop on his arms, typing something then looked at me.

"Your mom told me to let you see this if something ever happened to her, watch it" He set down the laptop in front of me, it showed a video which he played. It showed my mom setting down the camera then waved.

"Hi Y/N and S/N, if you're watching this then I'm sorry to say that I didn't win the battle. There's something you two needed to know, for over 6 months I've had breast cancer. I didn't want to tell you two because I know how you would react. I'm sorry for leaving you two so soon, Y/N please don't blame it on yourself, it wasn't your fault.. it just happened" She paused then continued.

"S/N I'm so sorry sweetie for not watching you graduate, I'll watch over you two. Please try to move on even if this breaks your heart. Y/N don't fight with your father when he takes S/N, he's still her father even if you hate him. You two were the best thing that has happened to me please try to go through life, you have each other, you have your friends" She started crying which made me cry too.

"I love you two more than anything in the world, I'm sorry for not making it" And just like that the video was done. Cam gave me a side hug, she already knew that she wasn't going to make it.

"I'm sorry for your loss, Y/N" I could hear Jay speak up. I held onto Cam, a few minutes later I stopped crying and realized something.

Final Stage of the 5 stages of Grief:

Acceptance:

'She doesn't want me to be like this, she always told me to be strong, she told me she would watch over me. I'll try to move on, just for her'

"I think I feel a little better" I spoke up, wiping my tears away.

"No matter what we will be here for you, love" Cam kissed my cheek, I smiled at him then got up.

"Well what do you wanna do then?" Eric asked.

"Have you guys gotten a house yet?" I asked which they nodded to.

"Can we see the house?" They nodded, I decided to change my clothes to something new. I told them what I was going to do then went upstairs to change.

"You get prettier every day" I heard Cam from the door, I looked at him then smiled, blushing when he was looking at me up and down.

"So I heard tomorrow was your birthday, I got something special for us after we hang out with our friends" I nodded, I finished changing then we went downstairs to go see the new house.

(Note I don't know how the house looks like for now just a little bit because of their Instagram stories)

We arrived at the house which looked amazing, we went inside and it was even prettier. It had already some boxes, it looked pretty big.

"Y/N do you wanna live here or stay at the apartment? I'm gonna move over here" Mason asked me, I looked at him then thought for a moment. It sounds fun staying but I wanna live by myself, maybe visit to see if it was a good idea.

"Nah, I'll stay at the house. But have fun in this house" He nodded, I went around to check the house while they talked about what room they would each get.

"You wouldn't want to live here?" I heard Harper ask from behind me, I looked at her then at the space where it would be the living room.

"It sounds fun but I wanna live alone for the moment"

"Why alone? You don't wanna live with Cam?" She asked.

"I do but doesn't he wanna live here?" She shook her head, looking around.

"He told us he wants to live with you instead of the group, mainly to have privacy with you" She winked at me at the last part, he really said that?

"He said that?" I asked to make sure she wasn't joking.

"I'm sure girl! This is your chance to fuck him!" She yelled then covered her mouth, seeing the guys were looking at her.

"Dumbass" I told her as I laughed, she turned red but hit me on top of my head.

"Hey What was that for cunt?" I rubbed the spot where she hit me.

"Anyways yeah he said that, let's check the rooms" She dragged me upstairs to check the rooms out. This was a nice change, I wonder what the future has in store for me.
