Don't look at me, I have a photogenic memory. I will remember your face and it won't leave my head.
Some people first notice your smile, I will notice your eyes. Those dark brown eyes, how much I would love to add them to my collection, or wow; look at your complexion. How is your skin so tan this time of year?
"Ma'am*?"* the brown eyed barista held my tea in his hand.
"Yeah." I quickly grabbed it and took a seat in the cafe.
I placed my black brief case next to me.
Everyone is watching me. They know.
I look down at my bland tea, purchased as a distraction. Now I can sit here and find my true prince charming; or my next one at least.
I thought about Sean, how nice he was the first 2 dates.
If he had just showed up to our 3rd date, I would've let him live. I swear.
I thought about how much he yelled the night I removed his tongue, so much blood.
Such a pretty pink tongue.
I wore a long tight black dress with tall black heels. I curled my hair this morning.
Men are such visual beings, so easy to impress.
I chuckled to myself.
I look down at my cup of tea, red lip stain hugged one of the corners. When did I take a drink?
I know I am slowly losing my mind.
4 minutes passed before a tall white man approached my table.
Don't look at me.
"What's a beautiful woman like you doing here all alone?" he teased.
I smiled. I smiled that smile that gives men comfort, confidence.
He believed I believed his compliment.
He's just like Sean.
I flipped my long black hair behind me.
"Just enjoying a warm cup of tea." I replied.
He spoke, I analyzed. Blue eyes, straight teeth with a little tint of yellow.
Sean's teeth were whiter. I can prove it, his teeth are sitting in whitening mouth wash in my bathroom.
He sat down across from me.
He was at least 5'8, not taller than 6 ft. No ring. Short black hair and he wore black slacks and a pullover sweater.
Blue eyes weren't my preference but this could do. He drank black coffee. I wondered if his taste buds were tickling his tongue.
He stared at me. "Something wrong?" his face changed.
I acted shy.
"No! Your eyes are so.. pretty." Delicious, I thought.
"Why, thank you. I like your eyes. What are they, green? Hazel?" He squinted his dark blue eyes.
I nodded. "Green."
His name was Richard, he was cop. How exciting. I told him I was a real estate agent, he bought it.
We talked about boring things people talk about when they first meet. He wanted to get to know me, I wanted to get to know his insides, what he will sound like; begging for his life. What those pretty blue eyes will look like in my room. Should I name them?
He asked for my phone number. I got a new disposable phone yesterday and I haven't even activated it yet. I took his number.
"Promise you'll call?" he asked as he stood up. I nodded and took a sip of my tea.
"You won't regret it, Cynthia." Who? Oh yeah, I need to write that down.
My name is Cynthia Frazier, I am a real estate agent and I have a date tonight with a cop.
