Chapter 10 |Some an end, some just the beginning|

***Dean's POV***

It's been seven months since I left.

I really don't want to get out of bed at all. At least it's Saturday. I check the clock, 9:23.

Ugh.

I roll of my bed and onto the floor, the cold floor that stings my bare back. Benny's laughter fills the kitchen, a wall we are sharing makes it easier to hear him, knowing what I did. I crawl to my door, leaning on it to stand up.

I leave my room and hear Benny ask, "Waffles or pancakes, Dean?"

"Pancake batter in the waffle maker!" I yell back, going into the bathroom. The bright lights kill my eyes slightly as I turn them on. Closing the door, I pull my toothbrush from the holder. I begin to brush my teeth. I hear a knock at the door, so I exit the bathroom.

"I got it, brother," Benny says, but I go to the door anyway, stopping by the kitchen to check on the food.

The door opens, "Hello?"

I can't see the person, nor can I hear them if they are even talking, and they weren't talking. I walk behind Benny, continuing to brush my teeth. The person comes into veiw, and my legs wobble. The perfect blue eyes stare at me, then back to Benny. Then back to me, and they stay on me.

"Well," Benny coughs, "I'll go back into the kitchen." he comes closer, stopping right in front of me. "You okay here without me?" he whispers and I nod slowly, toothbrush dangling from my mouth. He pats my shoulder, making his way back to the kitchen.

The walk, which is about five feet, seems like five hundred miles for each step to the door.

"Hello Dean." he says, his gravely voice making my chest burn.

"Hey Cas." I mumble around the toothbrush, his eyes lighting up, "Come in," I say, opening the door more. He walks in, just like I remember, with a little shuffle at his feet.

I run to the bathroom, spitting out the foamy toothpaste.

You can do it Dean, it's only Cas. Your best friend.

I breathe deeply, walking back to the living room. As I pass the kitchen I give Benny a quick nod. Cas is looking around the room, facing me. His unusually smaller figure, much smaller then when I left, sits lightly on the red couch. A small bag sits at his feet, I'm guessing his clothes. He notices me standing there, standing very still. I hadn't noticed I stopped.

I advance toward the couch again, making aware I keep moving. I sit next to him, a few inches between us.

"Dean." Cas says. That's all he says, all he does. His eyes shift over my face, drinking in every detail, every curve, like he forgot it.

"Cas-" I start. My voice breaks and I look in my lap. My body shakes slightly as tears escape my eyes, and loving hands touch my torso. I almost scream, the familiar hands touching me. Real hands.

"I-I-I a-am ss-s-ssso s-sor-r-r-ry." I say, leaning into his light jacket. His hands slide onto my back as mine wrap around his shoulders. I can feel him bury his face in my neck and his body shaking too.

We stay in our embrace until we both calm down, our bodies wet with tears, eyes red and itchy.

"I missed you, Dean." he says.

"I missed you too, Cas. Alot." I can almost feel the words, why did you leave then? radiate off of him.

A few minutes go by as we stare at each other, loving every moment of it.
