Chapter Thirty Four

You know when your life is so boring and dry that you just absentmindedly scroll through your phone knowing damn well there's nothing there?

I'm at the peak of boredom where I'm just now scrolling up and down my camera roll while Taylor and Ben are sitting across from me too busy engrossed in their own chemistry to even realize I'm here

Love you guys too  I thought mentally rolling my eyes at them

"Guys?" I asked

They both reluctantly tore their eyes away from one another and looked at me expectedly 

So I'm not invisible..hmm..who would've thought

"Hi" I said smiling sarcastically at them

Taylor looked at me unamused basically telling me to fuck off with her eyes while sweetheart Ben's eyes widened in realization 

"We've completely ignored you, I'm sorry Angela," He said turning his body towards me while Taylor simply glared at me only for me to grin at her

I knew I liked him for a reason

"It's alright," I said smiling at him 

The doors of the cafe open and Mason strolls in with his signature smile 

"Oh thank God" Taylor mumbled under her breath before turning her attention back to me, a smile replacing the grim that was there only a minute ago, "There's your boyfriend, go go go" she ushered enthusiastically causing me to roll my eyes

I turn my attention back to Mason. He looked good. His light brown hair looked almost black as it was a little wet showing he just got out of the shower making his blue eyes pop even more. He wore a normal black t-shirt and some shorts. 

I look back up to his face and see him already staring at me with a big grin causing me to smile back at him gently

"Hey guys," He said grinning

"Hey, -"

"Hi Mason, take your girlfriend over there and enjoy each other's company yes? Yes, perfect" she said interrupting me while pushing Mason and me away with Mason looking as confused as a puppy

He raised his eyebrow at me in question 

"She likes Ben and wants some alone time," I explained laughing  as I rolled my eyes

Mason throws his head back laughing nodding, "Okay, fair enough"

We take a seat and spent the time just joking around and laughing

I honestly forgot how funny Mason can be

"wait..oh fuck," I said laughing so hard I had to hold my ribs because they were hurting so badly

Mason's shoulders were shaking as his laughter echoed through the cafe

"I'm serious! He was absolutely smitten..with a fucking mannequin" He choked half laughing half hiccuping 

"How does someone fall for a mannequin?" I say my breathing coming out in quick gasps between my unstoppable laughing

"I don't know but that's how he found out he was gay"

Tears gathered in both of the corners of our eyes as we both held onto our ribs as we struggled to breathe

"I'm sorry to interrupt this lovely conversation but I need to speak with Angela now" a cold voice demanded

A voice I knew too well causing my body to turn completely rigid
