Viola fiddled with her- Miyuki's hair as she stared down at the water bottle in her hands. She glanced at the clock again, waiting for Recovery Girl to return and dismiss her.

She really wanted Rubes to come back, but she knew that trying to force co-con when she was in such a shaken state would just lead to more trouble. She could feel Ruby's guilt -I'm not, someone else, not mine, must be her- from here and the fact she couldn't reach out to reassure her left a bad taste in her mouth.

She took a sip of water, swallowing down an iron supplement. 'Fuck blood quirks, this sucks.'

Midnight said Ms. Shimizu would be here soon, but there wasn't much she'd be able to do, Viola hadn't been fronting during the incident and wasn't even present for most of it.

She traced the floral pattern on the bedsheets in front of her. The ruffling of paper caused Viola to look up, spotting a girl shuffling the sheets on Recovery Girl's desk.

The girl's long charcoal hair was parted in neat dreadlocks that ended by her waist; with silvery blue eyes that stood out against golden brown skin. While she did wear the standard UA uniform, she seemed to be missing a blazer and had traded her tie for a red bow.

But most notable thing were the scales that went along the sides of her cheeks and down her neck. They appeared black, but when she tilted her head, the light showed the true dark midnight blue hue.

"Who are you?" Viola asked. The girl turned to her, eyes wide with shock, before she smiled.

"I'm Recovery Girl's intern. I was just going to fetch her some paperwork she left."

"I didn't know Recovery Girl had an intern." Viola commented. The girl grabbed a stack of paperwork, before moving to rifle through one of the drawers. "What's your name?" The girl paused.

"...I'm Hisakawa Kairi." She said, standing up and shutting the drawer.

"I'm Rayan Miyuki. It's nice to meet you, Hisakawa-san." Viola smiled. "Which class are you in?"

"Ah, I'm in Class 3-B." Kairi answered. "What about you?"

"Oh, I'm not in any class here. At least, not yet. I'm just an exam participant, but I'm hoping to get into Class 1-A."

"That would be nice." Kairi said. "I may not be in Class A, but I am in the hero course, so if you need any advice, I'd be happy to share."

"Oh, thank you!"

The short lull in their conversation was enough to hear the shutting of doors and approaching footsteps.

"I guess Recovery Girl is coming back." Viola said.

"Oh, I better go now." Kairi said. "It was nice talking to you, Rayan." Viola smiled and nodded. Kairi waved before swiftly making her way out the door.

Sakura sat by herself in the cafeteria. Kiyotaka had left her alone, recognising the sadness underneath the sharp words she directed at him when he'd tried to reassure her.

Casey had seamlessly integrated herself into the UA Class that was sat in the cafeteria. Sakura tried to ignore the looks a few of them shot her.

She startled as a familiar tune came from her phone, snatching it out of her bag and answering.

"Hey, Lotus." She whispered.

"Hey Sakura Blossom, what's up?" Her brother, Ren's voice came through the speakers.

"There was an accident. During the exam." Her brother inhaled in response.

"Oh, sh*t, you okay?"
