Tremors in the surface awaken me from my slumber,
Thunder cracks nearby, I hear,
Why is it always so hard to remember?
Why do we all live in fear?

Desperate voices bellow in my head,
Conjoining images all hellish...
Why am I made to be afraid?
Why do we stay blind and foolish?

Irrecognisable figures smile in malevolence;
Their visages all blurry.
What they say mean a lot to me,
Though little weight do their voices carry.

In life all is meaningless, if not a step taken by you.
In reality you are powerless, little light shines through.
If  you are made to fall, you are damned to lose,
Even if you shined above all;
For always they decide who you become,
For it is always they who choose.

Suppressed and oppressed the days have gone,
With us holding in our cries,
The system has to break soon,
Else forevermore cost our lives.
