the heat radiates on my skin, uncomfortably.
"Oh my god," Linda mumbles

"Don't say that name here." Maze warns her, with a glare

Slowly, my feet meet the hard ground. I swallow hard, looking around.
If I'm being honest, I thought it'd be worse.

"Come on," Maze says, as she leads us down a hall of columns, I bite my tongue.
Linda holds onto Amenadiel's arm as if for dear life.

My heart beats quick, jumping from my chest into my throat repeatedly. My tongue feels like sandpaper and I struggle to get full breaths.
What happens if I die down here?

"Up ahead," Maze announces, as we continue, my feet feel heavy.
Maze walks through swiftly, unbothered.

We end up and a empty intersection, I look up, Lucifers throne.
His eyes dart down to meet us, a burning red shade.

My breath hitches in my throat, as I stare.
The next few exchanges between Lucifer and Maze are inaudible to me, its like I forget how to hear.

In a second, Lucifer appears in front of me.
His hand comes to my face slowly, wiping away the tears that slipped out.

"Chloe," His voice is soft, I freeze. "Why are you here?"

I try to speak but I can't make out any words.

"Chloe?" Linda asks, setting her hand on my shoulder.

Instinctively I wrap my arms around him, burying my head into his neck as I cry.
He wraps his arms around my waist, and I bite my lip.

I bring my hands to his face, tracing with my thumbs, his smooth skin a memory of my past.
I love him.
I've wanted him for so long and now that I have him again, I can't think.

"You left me, Lucifer." I whisper, as I pull away

"Chloe, I'm sorry." He replies, holding my hands in his

"Why was it so easy for you?" I ask, my voice breaking

"Leaving you was the hardest thing I've ever done." He admits, his voice cracks
"I love you," he says

"Then come home," I ask, my hands resting on his stomach, as I look up, locking my eyes with his. "Please,"

He pauses, "You came all the way here to bring me home?" He asks, I nod
"Lets go," he whispers, kissing my forehead
