Drowning

Hello?
I couldn't swim
anymore.

Sorry,
But I don't think
that you care.

The waves crashed,
The water had risen,
My arms and legs were sore
From swimming.

Keeping my head up
And my thoughts out
Was too much to handle
And not shout

For a lifeline,
For some time,
To be alright.

You're head above water
While I'm so far under
Makes it even harder
Not to wonder.

I'm giving in
Because you lied.
When you said,
"I want you to be mine."

Already down,
I drown.

It's not your fault.
