When Dazai Left Port Mafia (Theory)

We hear Soukoku talk about the night Dazai left the mafia during their mission to get Q (season 2 ep 9).

Let's first talk about why I think Dazai left Chuuya a bomb as a fair well present. In the dark era episodes, Dazai left the mafia due to the death of Odasaku (please don't kill me), which had nothing to do with Chuuya. There was little to no interaction between them.

One way of reading this is that Dazai hates Chuuya and simply wants to hurt him. But he should be knowing that a bomb won't hurt Chuuya. The thing is, If you hate someone, you wouldn't want to interact with them in any way, right?

You don't think about the person you hate day and night, especially not when you're leaving and probably won't see them ever again.

He could have just left, but he didn't. He wanted Chuuya to remember him, at least to think of him one last time.

Another theory is that Dazai did it to protect Chuuya. Since they were partners, people will suspect that Chuuya may have aided in his betrayal. By showing everyone else that he tried to "kill" Chuuya, it ensured Chuuya's position in the mafia.

As we all know, Chuuya loves wine and an '89 bottle was probably very expensive, maybe several thousand dollars or more. It must have been a very special occasion for him to do so.

Normally, people drink either when they're cheerful or sad. Chuuya gets drunk easily, and that night he probably cursed Dazai, screamed bad things about him after getting drunk. Under the cover of alcohol, who knows if it was really a celebration? Guess we'll never know.

Chuuya possibly felt betrayed or even abandoned. I'm sure that he doesn't understand why Dazai left the mafia, and I wonder what would happen if he ever discovers...

The fact that they were talking about it gave away that their relationship wasn't as intimidating as they tried to show everyone else.

By the way, I heard this from somewhere that Chuuya's favorite bottle of wine, the same bottle he opened when Dazai left the Mafia, was the one Dazai prepared for him at the farewell party when he left the sheep.

I heard it was a detail added later on but I couldn't find proof (It might have been made up)... so just take this into consideration if you believe me. 

Kinda makes me sad if this theory was true...
