Note to the broken

Years have strided past,
not in the blink of an eye
but with more lessons each day
and here you are, young lady
more stronger and better.

People around you
seem to shun you
you dont know why
and nor do they.

But, dont you worry my love
because you have been kind.

You've given them a shoulder
when their tears cascaded.
You lent them an ear
when they longed to speak.
Your words have been
a solace to the broken
and you always held them
when they were in agony.

You put on a mask
and gave your brightest smile,
your eyes sparkling
your lips as wide as it could be,
pulling a curtain
to the whirlwind of emotions.

You didn't let a single soul
burden by your sorrows

instead

You gave immense joy,
but you got betrayal.

You gave them your best,
but they put you down.

You wiped their tears,
but they were ignorant of yours

and
every time you are nice to them,
they shred a piece of your precious heart.

But honey,
you are enough.
Never let them tell you otherwise.

You might not be pretty as they are
nor a genius like them
but, you are beautiful
inside and out
in your own kind of way.

HOPE
that's all you want
to live by all these harshness
because, even when the humankind
stab you in all the ways
God will never let you down
so have your hand in prayers.

All you have to do
is wait ,
and unabashedly be yourself.
Your creator will take care
of the rest
and everything will be
at it's best.
