Adventure time: Distant Lands takes place in the future, years after the original show Adventure time ended. It's four episode show, each episode focusing on different main characters and the second episode "Obsidian" focuses solely on our gays.
We get to see a more domestic version of Bubbleline with a more stable relationship. The episode answers any question we had from the original series and also shows the real reason Bubbleline broke in the first place.
This episode made Bubbleline my top comfort ship, seeing them together doing puzzles, baking pies, studying science and making music just warmed up my gay heart.
My baby Marceline losing her punk anger and opening up to Bubblegum's feelings shows how much she has matured from the original series.
At the end of the episode we get to Marceline singing a sappy romantic song for Bubbleline, then dancing together and living happily ever after.
