The clock hit nightshade 1:20 and I've been twisting and turning for a couple hours while Jaden lay sprawled on the other side of the bed. He slept like a sunfish but he looked peaceful.
It had been pouring rain for hours and I couldn't sleep because I knew lighting was bound to follow.
I was turning all around my bed when I fell off of the bed and I heated jaden grumbled then used his arms to prop himself up. His heavy eyelids opened, he noticed the bundled ball of blanket curled up on the other side of the bed.
He smiled to himself and he pulled me in to his chest as he laid back down with lightning flashing behind him. He held me gently against his warm chest and shielded me from the crazy night sky.
I was still shaking from the rumble bit I ended up melting in to him. "I didn't mean to wake you up" I said
"It's ok ma I'm right here" Jaden said
He smiled and kissed my cheek and ran his fingers along the spine of my back, softly singing the words to my favorite song. We both fell asleep in each other's arms. I'm so lucky to have Jaden in my life. Who knows what would happen if I didn't have him.
