Joy sat on a bench , reading a book. It was a Friday and she skipped school just to read at the park all day.
A little girl run up to her lap making her set her book aside, "Hello". The little girl greeted
Joy smiled and waved.
The little girl giggled, "You prewtty"
Joy blushed, "Thank you, I think you pretty too".
The little girl blushed, "Thank you". She blew a kiss and ran away
Joy shrugged and continued to read her book.
As she flipped a page of her book, someone approached the bench sitting next to her.
Before she could move away from the person, he dragged her back to her spot.
"I don't bite", the guy said
His voice was a baritone , deep and sombre.
Joy shook her head looking down at her book, "I though maybe you were uncomfortable". The guy shook his head, "I found you here so I should be making adjustments. You uncomfortable?". Joy shook her head
He nodded his head, "whatchu reading?". She held up her book
He rolled his eyes, "I can see that but what book are you reading". He huffed
She chuckled, "The Killer Pride". He sighed, "It's a nice day out". Joy nodded her head
"I gotta get going", She got up followed by the guy
It was almost five and she wanted to cook dinner and sleep early because her shift started at 10pm.
"Nene!", The guy screamed startling Joy a bit
Seconds later, the little girl from earlier ran into the guy's arms, "Uncle S, this the pretty girl". The little girl giggled
The guy nodded, "Mmh, say bye to the pretty girl"
Nene smiled looking at Joy, "What's your name?"
"You can call me Jojo" , Joy smiled
Nene giggled, "Okay, bye Jojo". She waved as Joy began walking away
Joy waved 'bye', "Bye Nene, it was nice meeting you , Uncle S". She said
"You too, Jojo", he chuckled
