THE YELLOW PORSCHE SCREAMS DOWN A HIGHWAY, CUTTING LANES, WEAVING THROUGH PEUGEOTS AND FIATS. Bella grips the dash board as Alice. Narrowly misses a car.
Alice hands me a scarf to wrap around my head to cover my skin from the sun to make sure I don't expose our secret to the human around.
Alice hands me a hoodie to give to Jasper for him to put on over his head
I give it to his and he immediately takes off his jacket and shirt he previously had on. He puts the hoodie on.
"How much time do we have?" I asked Alice
"He's waiting till noon, when the sun's at its highest..." Alice told me
"He's going to make the volturi change their minds." Alice told us
I look at Jasper who wasn't is filled with worry
Bella check the time
"It's almost noon now." Bella told her
"There's Volterra." Alice pointed out
The narrow, centuries-old street are crowded with festival resellers who all wear red. They gaily head toward the town square carrying red pendants, balloons, scarves. The Porsche weaves through them, hurrying forward.
"Why are they all wearing red?" Bella asked us
"San Marcos day festival. The perfect setting. Large crowds. The volturi won't let him get far enough to reveal himself—he's counting on that." Alice told us
"We only have five minutes." I told them
Alice screech to a halt at a road block. Italian police wave her back. Bella jumps out.
"Where's the square?" Bella asked
"Follow that lane." Alice told her
Bella's already running
"He'll be under the clock tower!" Alice yelled out to Bella
We watch her go...then sense something, looks up a figure in black hooded overcoat leaps from building to building, tracking Bella. As he disappears
After Bella runs after Edward to make it just in time we finally were able to get under the clock tower. We walked through the door.
"Come on, guys, it's a festival. We're suppose to be happy." I told them
I grab Jasper hand and guide him toward Bella and Edward as Alice stands next to them
"We wouldn't want to make a scene." Alice told them
"There won't be any scene. And we'll still win." Felix told us
