bye bye I say to my mind
for each day that pass the more it gets lost
I look up and down and all around, but I can never find
I wonder what this will cost
"hello hello my wonderful bed
may I please rest?
I've grown tired searching for my head
but don't you worry I'll get up in a bit"
"bye bye bye bye"
I hear again and again
"let's part ways and I'll see you another time"
I moan and groan "give me more time to rest my head"
"hello hello it's me again
It's time to part ways, my friend"
"please please" I beg and beg
"let me stay a bit more, my dear bed"
"goodbye goodbye we must say goodbye
for you stay longer than just the nights
surely surely
this cannot be healthy"
"goodbye? goodbye?
how can I possibly leave
for I have lost my mind,
can't you see?
I try and try
but I cannot leave thee!"
I cry and cry
and stain your sheets
I sigh and sigh
"I swear I swear I'm not lazy!
even though I'm far behind
in almost everything
oh, how I hope you'll forgive me"
I cry and cry
until I fall asleep
