Logan's POV

I punched the door open and instantly my eyes set on the figure of Emily tied up to a chair as Draco hovered above her with a belt in curled up in his bloody hands. Her eyes were drooping shut and I knew she was about to lose conciousness, which was a good thing because this would be the death of Draco. My fists clenched tight as Draco's face came into view. Without a second thought, I marched over to him, throwing a punch directly at his face. He fell to the floor, holding his face and soon the sound of his dreadful laughter filled the air.

"That all you got Logan?" he taunted, grabbing himself off the floor. I watched as he curled the belt in his hand and started to strike in my direction, but I caught the whip and pulled hard, achieving to get the belt out of his grasp. Throwing it on the floor, I then grabbed Draco directly by the throat and pushed him against the wall, banging his head against it numerous times. When his legs gave away, he collapsed to the floor again, but that didn't stop me from lifting my leg and kicking him sevral times around his body. He flinched, but my eyes were red and all I could focus on was giving Draco a long and painful death.

"You did the wrong thing messing with me Draco" I stated, throwing my leg once again at his face. His face flew back and was covered in blood, yet he had the audacity to laugh as he rolled back around.

"All of this for that bitch?" he commented, making my blood boil even more. I bent down and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt, pulling him back up and pushing him back against the wall.

"Don't you dare call her a bitch" I stated. Discreetly, I pulled out my gun and held it close to me, allowing Draco to say his last words.

"My my, is the Logan Miller in love?" he teased. I smiled, and nodded my head.

"Yes he is"

Boom!

I watched as Draco's corpse slided down the wall, right on the floor, the shot stuck right in the center of his forehead.

I then rushed towards Emily, untiying her from the ropes that held her down. I patted her cheek, trying to get her back to conciousness, but she didn't budge. I carried her bridal style out of the building straight into my car, placing her on the backseat.

As I started driving, I dialled Adam's number

"Is she ok?"he blurted.

"She is fine, get Austin and Jack to take care of his body" I hung up, not wanting to hear the rest of the conversation, I had to Emily back home, safe and sound.

As soon as we arrived her apartment, I dashed up the stairs with the stationary body in my arms. I pushed through the front door and found a pacing Larissa, whose eyes widened at the sight in front of her.

"Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh no! Is she... is she...-"

"She's fine, just unconcious" I stated, walking right past her towards Emily's room, where I gently placed her under the covers of her bed. Right before I could cover her with the duvet, I notcied the scars that Draco had left on her. My blood boiled and I was beyond furious. I wanted to kill him all over again, he deserved a fate worse than death.

But I was more angry with myself. I allowed this to happen, all of this happened because of me. I realized that I was more demon that human, and that was not the kind of life she deserved. She deserved better, she deserved someone who could make her happy every minute of her life, every second of it. And I couldn't do that. I was too deep in the whole, and I couldn't be saved. I had to let go of her. And in that very moment, that's exactly what I decided to do.

Slowly, I put the covers over her and kissed her forehead one last time, before elevating myself from the ground, walking over to her table.I grabbed a pen and paper and scribbled a quick and horrible note, which I positioned on her bedside table. I looked at her sleeping figure on last time, before I very painfully, walked out the doors.

"Will you please tell me what's going on?" Larissa yelled in my face as I emerged from her room.

"It's better if she tells you. Stay by her side when she wakes up" With that, I was off.

I was letting her go, and it was for the best. Because I was not the one for her. Because a devil and an angel can never be friends.

Emily's POV

A bright white light penetrated through my eyes, and I blinked a couple times before I could adjust to the light. With all the energy I had, I pushed myself up, but only failed. My body was sore everywhere, and that's where the memories came flooding back in.

Draco

Kidnapping

Criminals

Logan...

I remembered his face being the last thing I saw before I lost conciousness. I scanned my room and expected a sleeping Logan to be on the chair next to my bed, but it was just Larissa. I felt a pang in my heart, but ignored it. My eyes soon landed on my bedside table, where a white note was placed neatly with my name on it. I stretched my hand out and grabbed it, revealing the contents.

You're safe now.

I'm sorry...

That's it. That's all that was written. I had no idea what that meant, for me or for him. The pain in my chest increased as I re-read the text over and over again. But I had to face it, Logan was a criminal, and I was not. He wasn't the kind of man interested in writing long sorry notes, or falling in love. I had already sacrificed a lot for him, and had been through enough. Maybe it was for the best. Myabe this is how it was supposed to end. Maybe this wasn't my path, and that's why I failed in it. Maybe there was someone better for me out there. Just maybe...

I shut my eyes and crumpled the note, throwing it on the floor.

"So you finally going to explain to me what's going on?" I heard. I turned my head to see Larissa waiting cross armed for an explanation. I wanted to lie to her, but I couldn't, she was my sister. So I settled for the truth.

This was going to be a long story...
