I see you've chosen to snoop around Zlatko's mansion. I heard that this guy is a descendant of old Russian royalty, but all that remains of the wealth is the property. He was going to have to share it until his brother mysteriously died. Be careful out there!

"I've got to go, Lieutenant." I shuffle from one foot to the other. "Nature calls."

"Not to worry," Zlatko smiles, placing his deli meat claw on my shoulder. "I have facilities."

I grab his wrist, my finger and thumb are a good couple inches from touching. But luckily, he gets the message and removes it. "Thank you for the invitation," I say through locked jaw. "But I have a shy bladder."

"Ha, my dear girl. I won't be accompanying you." He waves, walking towards the dilapidated property. "Come in officers. Luther makes a killer coffee."

I'll give you girl, creep.

"Sure, Sir." There's something odd about this guy, and a "toilet break" is a perfect opportunity to make a couple of accidental detours.

Zlatko keeps looking over his shoulder, right at Connor. "So, I've never seen your model before. What is your primary function?"

"I'm a RK800. I'm a state-of-the-art android sent by Cyberlife to assist Detroit Police."

"State of the art, hey?" The creep looks Connor up and down before continuing on to the house.

"Yes. And a prototype."

Shut up, Connor!

"Interesting," Zlatko mutters.

The churn in my stomach goes haywire by the time we reach the entryway. Not good. Not good at all.

He takes out these brass-looking keys and unlocks the door. "Luther will show you to the bathroom, detective."

I shake it off and walk in. "I'm sure I can find my own way, thanks."

Holy crap, this place is big. Tapestry and taxidermized animals clutter the grand, multi-level hall. The smell reminded me of when I visited my Nanna before she was put in a home. Like musty, stagnant air.

Why are we here?

"As you can see, this place is quite large. I'd hate for you to get lost." He stares at my chest the whole time. "I'll discuss the issue at hand with the men. No need to rush."

Have I stepped into the 50's or something? What the actual fuck?

"Well, I'll just go and powder my nose then." Mental bird, right at you prick.

The floorboards creaked with every step, despite my small frame. The hulking android stayed no more than two steps away from me at all times. They weren't going to make this creeping situation easy.

I walk to the end of the corridor and attempt to open the last door. "I'll be good from—"

"Do not go in there," Luther yells, his LED flashing like crazy. "It's the door to the right."

"You could've told me earlier."

But he stands over me, pointing towards the door just behind him.

"Thank you for the hospitality." My words dripping with sarcasm.

The big brute marches toward me, and I don't waste anytime backing in that toilet and locking the door.

"What are you doing in here?"

I turn around, and I can't help but yip. There lays an android, no arms and no legs, painted in blue blood. He twitches, jerking his head toward me. The hair that remains on his head is caked to his forehead with blood and grime. I hate to think how long he's been here.
