You don't know what it's like to hate all that's within you
You don't know what it's like to be betrayed and left with a heartbroken
You don't know what it's like to feel numb when asked, "How are you?"
What it's like to smile and hide the shattered inside you
What it's like to reminisce the bad every time you feel good

You don't know what it's like to be terrified of your father
You don't know what it's like to greet your dad with a cower
You don't know how you are startled when someone lifts a finger
Because life thought you of fear with your daddy's anger

You don't know the battle of life and death in your mind
Don't know what it's like when you choose death over your life
You don't know what it's like to be addicted to harm
You were never numb to have pain be your kind of time

You don't know what it's like to be left lonely
You might be alone but you have someone to share your feelings with
You don't know what it's like to talk all night to a wall
Don't know what it's like to have insanity keeping you from a fall

You don't understand the terms depression and suicide
Fear, anger, and sadness are just a few moments of your life
Loneliness and broken hearts are just words in your mind
You never experienced them to wish you could die

You don't know what it's like to be a witness to a murder
Don't know the pain you feel when you see people suffer

So before you tell me to collect my shit
Before you speak of my situation like you're in it
Before you give me your judging eyes
Before you shake your head with disappointment when I tell you I'm fine
Try to understand
You are lucky enough to never have my life
But understand
Understand that I am not like you
Understand that stumbling in this world is what I do
