Teenfix Community brings to you a series of monthly writing contests to spice up these gloomydays and keep you on your toes. We have taken a pledge that we will not let you sit idle and soour members are racking their brains day and night to bring to you as many light heartedcompetitions as we can.
I stood in front of the mirror and the person that stared back at me was someone unknown, someone I couldn't recognise. The usually prominent smile lines were gone and the forehead was marred with frowns. The eyes trailed down and a sigh escaped the reflection's lips. Her mind kept on replaying last days events when she was cornered in her classroom and made fun of. When her crush mocked her short stature and large hips. She closed her eyes and tears trailed down as she recalled the echoing laughter. When she opened her eyes again the tears were gone and so was the frown. The only words in her mind, running through her veins, singing in her ears were self love
Self-love which means having a high regard for your own well-being and happiness. It means taking care of your own needs and not sacrificing your well-being to please others. It means not settling for anything less than you deserve. Self love as the very name suggests, it is about appreciating yourself for who you are. Accepting your flaws whether superficial or deep within. We need to learn how to love ourself without any regrets and this competition depicts all these thoughts.
