We are and we will

She coudn't accept that she was strong

Mistakes come, she sighs heavily, she wants to move along

She repeats the same step over and over, biting her lip

Holding her tongue to speak her true words, anxious to shout!

She couldn't accept that she was strong

Her heart goes heavy, her hands get sweaty

And she tries to breathe properly and let it be

Her friend tells her, stand up for what you believe in

And that's when the wind blows her hair away, she wakes

She couldn't accept that she was strong

Despite the awakening journey that is encountered everyday

She goes above bumpy roads, falls on cracks

She trips on chairs, has unfinnished sentences, and

She just couldn't accept that she was strong

But those bumps we came across gave no idea how far we went

And how those little legs go back and forth, every time she forgets

Leaving her most important item inside a class, she is filled with rambling thoughts

She is a mess, stuck inside her own loop created by her vast decisions

She just couldn't accept that she was strong

And only God knows what is hiding deep inside those hearts

Because she wants to leave footprints, and inspire, not give up

But everytime she is let down, she falls weak

Evertime she makes a mistake, she feels so naive

She just couldn't accept that she was strong

One day, someone will see she is truly stronger than she thinks

It will be the only choice she has, because it has a meaning

All those mess will unknot, and she will roll out of it

It will mean something in the end, because she will come by a step

Many have fell more than the steps we take in a day

bled on their knees, til they ended up in their bed free

Asleep to wake to this new journey all over again

And it healed, because we are stronger than we believe

The truth, we are under this rule of civilization

And that's why she just couldn't accept that she was strong

Because beneathe that smile, she was an animal going mad

Trapped inside this box, trying to break free, and forced to be who she is not

She tells herself she is not strong

Because in order to get there, one must end on the ground crying for help

One must be afraid, and so much afraid, that once they fight it, they end fearless

She crouches her way to her journey, head low, head high, head low, head high

And she reminds herself to be strong
