part 16

Piers PoV

I am currently sitting in a horse-drawn carriage, we have been divided into three carriages to keep us all under surveillance, Trace and Flora are sitting in the first, Keith and Natani are sitting in the second, I am sitting in the last because I am most dangerous because the journey is long, I took empty magazines and wanted to refill them, I vandalized a small box of ammunition from my backpack then I started filling empty magazines with ammunition, the soldier guarding me was very nervous, he kept holding the hilt of his sword, I had to laugh because that's exactly what recruits look like on their first missions, after a while he decided to ask me questions

Soldier: Are you really from another world?

Piers: yes why?

Soldier: What it looks like in your world

Piers: Bad, you can be glad you're here

Soldier: Have you ever experienced war?

Piers: The war is going on in our country all the time

Soldier: wow, have you ever fought dragons?

Piers: We don't have dragons, and I thought you respected dragons

Soldier: I just wonder if you would be able to do that

Piers: We have much more dangerous things than dragons

the soldier started asking me more and more questions, I started to get tired of me, fortunately we finally arrived at Trace's residence, I have to admit that Trace must be really rich when we got out, I saw a big black dragon, it was the same dragon from before, I think Princess Reni's name is, at least I think, Reni drank from the fountain and when she saw it was obvious that she was embarrassed.

when we all got out of our chariots, one girl soldier walked over to the dragon and reported

 Alice: Lieutenant Alice Reed, guard reserve, report! 

 Reni: (thoughts) _Uh ... Princess Reni. Dragon. ...At ease? 

the strange dragon does not open his mouth, he communicates with us in such a strange way of transmitting thoughts to our heads Alice: I'm honored, Miss Reni. How is it in the city? 

 Reni: (thoughts) No ... well, I'm afraid.

 Reni walked over to Trace and looked menacingly at him 

 Reni: (thoughts) Forgive suspicion ... But I must ask you to put me in mind ... ... so that I can ensure that you are who you claim to be.

when Reni looked at Trace her eyes began to glow, she seemed to have fully immersed herself in Trace's memories, after a while she did a somersault in fright. 

Reni: (thoughts) Graaalr! 

Alice: Madam? Are you okay? 

 Reni: (thoughts) Ehem. I am sorry. 

 The dragon after she calmed down looked at me  

Reni: (thoughts) I also need to check on you 

 Piers: why?
