Jay's POV

''Be good at school. Good luck on your test, Eric.'' I said, giving them high fives.
''Thanks.'' He said jumping down of the car.
''Bye, dad.'' Ella said following her brother.
''Bye, munchkins.'' I yelled.

I watched as they went inside the school. I drove off to my office as soon as they were out of my sight. Today's day started pretty well which means I'm in the good mood. Sometimes I wake up grumpy, but today will be a good day.

Greg called me to ask if I want to go out with him, but I said no. I'm going to get drunk and I don't want to repeat anything of what happened. But I still remember her how she was laying under me with her pretty hair spread around the pillow. I never thought she would leave an effect on me, but she did. She left a big effect and I can't forget her. It's been almost five months since that happened and I still think about that. Greg had right when he said I'm a simp.

I arrived at my company and took the elevator towards my floor. I saw Carla with the cup of coffee in her hand waiting for me.
''Thank you for the coffee. How did you know I needed it?'' I said, grabbing the coffee from her hand.
''I just know and besides it's Friday.'' She laughed.
''Thank you anyways.'' I chuckled.

I walked inside my office and took off my suit jacket getting more comfortable. I rolled up the sleeves of my button showing my tattoo. I made initials of my kids two years ago and I love it. I just like the idea of getting it and thought why not? I would love to have something that reminds me of them.

There was a knock on my door and Carla entered.
''Yes?''
''Can we talk, Sir?'' She asked and walked towards the chair.
''Yes, sure. Is something wrong?'' I asked worriedly. Carla never came here like this to talk.
''Well, I wouldn't say wrong. But I do have something to tell you.'' I nodded my head urging her to continue.

''I'm getting older, Sir. And I decided to retire.'' She said. Is Carla leaving me?
''Can you tell me the reason?'' I asked bewildered.
''There is no particular reason. I want to spend more time with my husband and grandchildren.'' She smiled sadly. I was sad. My best secretary was leaving me alone to manage the company.

''I don't have any objections. But how am I going to manage without you? You're the best secretary I ever had. And only one actually.'' I pointed out. She let out a chuckle.
''Thank you, Sir. You were the best boss too.'' I huffed amused. I will miss her a lot. After years of working together, she is leaving. But I understand. She wants to spend time with her family and I'm happy for her.

''Do you have a free hour this morning?'' She asked me.
''Yes. I do. Why?''
''Because my replacement will be coming to have a conversation with you.'' She said. I was surprised to say the least.
''You really thought this out, didn't you?'' I chuckled.
''Yes, I did. I didn't want to leave you just like that.'' She said.

''Alright then.'' I exhaled disappointedly. I guess I'm going to meet with the new secretary. I know for the fact that she won't be as good as Carla. But I can try.
''I'm going back to work, but she will soon be here.'' She got up from the chair and started walking towards the door. Before she got out, she stopped and turned to me.

''But there is a small exception. The woman you're going to meet is pregnant. I couldn't reject her when she said her child's life depended on it. So I told her you are also going to have a talk with her.'' She explained.
''I will see what we can do.'' I said. She nodded appreciately and closed the door. How will the pregnant woman going to do a proper work? But if she needs this job, I'm going to give her a chance.

***

Signing the papers, I looked at my wrist watch to see it's already 11 a.m. That woman should be here soon. I'm still a little bit shook that Carla will leave this company, but it's her choice. I will leave her a little bonus with this month's payment. She deserved it and a lot more.

Another knock on the door interrupted me in my thoughts. Carla entered my office and smiled.
''Sir, Ms. Lee is here.'' She said. I nodded my head and got up from my chair. Carla called the woman inside. I felt my pupils dilate and eyes widen. There is no f*cking way the woman is her. The woman in my dreams, the woman that haunted my mind for five months is here. Standing right in front of me.

She looked up and look of shock spread across her face. She remembers me too. Her cheeks tainted in adorable pink color making me almost smile. I looked at her attire to see black skirt and white blouse. Her stomach had a very visible bump. It looked really round and big. What if... I didn't want to finish that sentence. Not without reassurance.

''I will leave you two to talk. Wish you luck, Ms. Lee.'' Carla smiled and left the office. We both stood awkwardly until I broke the silence.
''Sit down.'' My voice came out colder than I wanted it to be. She walked to the chair and sat in front of me as I ploped back on my chair.

''I didn't expect to see you again in these circumstances.'' I cleared my throat. She looked at me with her innocent eyes.
''Me neither.'' She muttered softly.
''Why did you apply for this job?'' I asked.
''My previous boss fired me.'' She said.
''Why?''

''Private reasons.'' She said. I know she was lying. It impressed me how I could read her emotions.
''Is that the only reason?'' I asked.
''I needed a job. I got eviction notice yesterday so I really need this job.'' I could hear a plea in her voice and I didn't like it. So she even stayed without her home?

''How far are you?'' I said, glancing at her stomach. I noticed she gulped nervously even the color of her face drained.
''I want the truth, Angela.'' I seethed, purposefully calling her by her first name.
''18 weeks.'' She stuttered. 18 weeks is almost five months. F*ck. We were together then.

I got up from my chair and circled behind her. I put hand on the arm rest and other one behind her on the chair. I leaned down more closer to her ear. By her reaction, she felt intimidated by my close presence.
''Tell me, Angela. Am I the father?'' I asked. Her eyes averted towards mine fast and I felt myself losing in those hazel eyes.

She opened her mouth to say something and closed them again.
''Don't lie to me.'' I said more sternly.
''Yes.'' She exhaled and looked down. I assumed this as soon as I saw her. She was a virgin too, because there were stains of blood on the sheets when I woke up. I'm going to be a father again and I found out now.

''Why didn't you stay that night?''
''I was scared. That was m-my first time. I thought you wouldn't care anyway.'' She stammered over her words. Why did she even think about such stupid thoughts? I was thinking quite opposite, but she was already gone. F*ck Angela. I straightened myself and took a deep breath.

''You should've stayed. If I knew, I would've taken care of both of you. Since we meet now and I found out that you're pregnant with my child, I made a decision.'' I said almost smirking. Why was I excited? Maybe because I know that she can't escape me again or because I crave this woman. Either way, she will stay with me.

''What decision? Please, don't take my baby.'' She looked at me panicked.
''I won't. But I still want to be in my child's life.'' I pointed out. She relaxed and nodded.
''What do you want to do?'' She silently asked. I smirked knowing exactly what I wanted to do.
''Since you don't have your home anymore, you're going to move in my house.''
''What?'' Shock was written all over her face.
