Chapter Three- I've Missed You

Beau Donahue

As Brooke and I sat in the diner, that I was assuming Estelle worked at, I couldn't help but feel a little uneasy. Estelle could walk through that door any minute and I honestly didn't know if I could face her yet.

After a sleepless night of thinking, I'd concluded that Estelle had to have been pregnant when we talked the first seven months I was gone. I was tremendously hurt that she hadn't told me she slept with someone else.

I'd also concluded after a while of silent freak out that Estelle's daughter couldn't be mine. Estelle would have told me if she was. "Baby, do you think we should have orchids, or white roses at the wedding?" Brooke questioned, her hazel eyes glowing as she looked through a little wedding planning book that her best friend had made her.

"White roses?" I suggested, I honestly didn't care, I wanted whatever she wanted.

"Really? I like the orchids," she said looking up at me, with a slight pout to her lips.

"What ever ya want babe," I responded chuckling at her.

"Don't laugh at me!" She scolded playfully, as she lightly kicked my leg under the table.

My response was caught off by the ringing of the bell that was hooked to the door. I looked up to see a slightly familiar face walking through it. It was the guy who had been with Estelle yesterday.

He wasn't alone, at first I thought the girl he had by the hand was Estelle, but when her brown hair came into view I knew it couldn't be her.

My eyes followed them as they sat down at a table, towards the back of the restaurant, the unknown girl giggling, at something the guy said. Hope, who had been shooting me dirty looks the whole time I'd been here, approached them and took their order.

I could faintly hear Brooke talking to me, but all I could concentrate on was the two of them. They were acting as if they were a couple, and it unnerved me because, I was pretty sure the guy and Estelle were together.

It was when he mouthed "I love you," to her, that I felt something snap inside of me. He was cheating on Estelle! It didn't matter if she had been pregnant with another man's kid when we weren't exactly broken up, I still cared about her, and I wasn't going to let this piece of shit cheat on her.

Getting up, I walked straight to the table they were sitting at, "Can I have a word?" I asked the guy venomously.

"Umm, sure," he responded, confused. I couldn't help but realize how much of an idiot this guy was as we made our way outside. What kind of person would cheat on someone? I honestly didn't get the point.

Especially in this town, it was so small, someone would surely see, and tell Estelle. As we reached the door, I looked in Brooke's direction, she was giving me a questioning look, her head cocked to the side slightly. I held my index finger up, signaling for her to give me a minute. She nodded, the confused look still plastered on her face.

"What the fuck are you doin', cheatin' on Estelle?" I questioned once we were outside.

"What?" He asked, his expression bewildered. Before I could stop myself, I found my fist connecting with the guy's jaw. How dare he act like he doesn't know what I'm talking about!

"Don't you dare act like you don't know what I'm talking about!" I voiced my thoughts, trying to refrain from punching the mother fucker again.

"Beau!" Brooke's voice made my head snap towards where she stood at the entrance of the diner. "What are you doing?" She shouted walking to where we stood, placing her hands on her hips, and apologizing repeatedly to the guy.
