Mary Anne then married William Nichols, 26. Nichols was a printer's machinist. The date was: January 16, 1964; NIchols 19. By 1866 to 1979, the couple had five children. But by 1881, William filed for "disputed causes".

"It's my solemn dismay that I do this...but you're drinking away our future; you're drinking and whoring....And I won't let the children see you in Whitechapel...Or the evil side of London or Scotland...Or Wales, or Ireland...Or across the Americas...Or the colonies of Australia, where the convincts are transported at Her Majesty's Pleasure...Three long months by the tide...Good bye!". William said. He had short, black hair, brown eyes, and tall.

He wore a black shirt, black breeches, a black colored belt, black tie, and brown socks, and brown colored boots.

"Come on children...We're going to the Ports for dinner", he added.

         "Aye, father", they all said.

And he shoved Mary Anne out of the front door...And towards an early grave.
