Giovanna's POV

After we took for photos and posted them i saw it was already 12:15 so i told the rest of the girls to hurry up so we can meet the boys. We walked down to the outside of the great hall and saw all the other 7th years dressed up waiting to be let in for the final assembly. We saw the boys and walked up to them.

There were 4 lines for each house so we all said our goodbyes as this would be the last time we would all be together until after we graduate. Blaise and Luna hugged and Astoria and Theo started kissing, Draco walked up to me and held my hand. "I know it's bad timing and all but i kinda want us to be dating when we graduate so Giovanna Moon would you like to be my girlfriend?" he asked hopefully.

"Sure" I said whilst smiling. I mean it's not really like i had much of a choice but i still want him to be my boyfriend...again. He smiled back at me then walked over to where Blaise, Theo and Astoria were all standing. They all walked to the back of the Slytherin line smiling and laughing together, Ginny and Mione walked over to Harry and Ron and started kissing their boyfriends. I went over to Prince, Cho and Luna and together we walked to the Ravenclaw line. "What did Draco want?" Cho asked me, "He asked if i wanted to be his girlfriend and i said yes" I whispered back. "WHAT OMG FINALLY" she shouted and everyone stared at us.

Me and Draco made eye contact and he mouthed "Are you guys talking about me?", and when i nodded he chuckled and whispered something to Blaise who laughed back. Before i could ask him what they were talking about Dumbledore came out of the hall. "If i say your name then follow me into the hall and sit in front of the stage. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy, Giovanna Moon, Neville Longbottom, Theodore Nott Jr., Blaise Zabini and Ginny Weasley"

We all looked at each other confused and then followed him into the hall. "All of you have won awards so you will be coming up onto the stage to accept your award. As you may know we didn't assign a head girl and head boy this year so instead top 2 students in the year will say a short speech. You will find out who that is when i call your name out later, you will also find out what award or awards you've won. Well done to all of you." After he said that he walked back out of the hall.

Dumbledore had just finished his main speech and had just announced that it was time to give out awards. He cleared his through and motioned for us to all stand up. "Hello 7th years, although you are all excellent students these eight students stood here today are the top students of the year. Each of them have won an award each in different categories."

"Let's welcome Neville Longbottom to the stage for winning the award for the kindest soul" Once he said that Neville walked over to Dumbledore and took the small golden plaque out of his hands and walked back over to us. Everyone started clapping and shouting complements at Neville making him go bright red. "Next is the award for most popular amongst the students and this goes to Theodore Nott Jr." He said and everyone in the great hall started screaming and cheering for Theo, he walked over and graciously accepted the award then walked back over to us whilst smirking. "Next is the award for the bravest in our year and this goes to Harry Potter" Harry did the same as Theo and Neville and walked over to collect his award then came back. "Next award is a big one, congratulations to Draco Malfoy for being the brightest wizard of our age..." I couldn't hear anything else Dumbledore said over the screeches and squeals of random girls cheering Draco on.

"Next i'd like to say well done to Blaise Zabini for being best dressed in the year. I know this usually isn't a category but it was heavily requested by students across the years" Dumbledore said as Blaise took his award and left. "And let's all congratulate Mr Draco Malfoy again for receiving the most house points out of all the students in his time here at hogwarts" He said and again dozens of high pitched screams filled the hall. "Now that the boys are over it is time for the girls awards to be announced"

"Congratulations Hermione Granger for being the brightest witch of our age" Dumbledore announced which made the Gryffindors go wild. I saw Ron shouting at the top of his lungs but i couldn't quite make out what he was saying. "Well done to Ginny Weasley for having great sportsmanship and playing well and fair in quidditch" He announced whilst glaring at the Slytherin table. "And last but definitely not least, well done Miss Giovanna Moon for winning the award for highest overall academic achievement". I got up and made my way to the stage praying that I don't fall over or trip over anything, when I got to the front I smiled and took the award and made my way back. I started blushing when I heard everyone erupt into cheers and shouts except from a few ravenclaw and slytherin girls who glared at me instead.

When I got back to the chairs at the front I sat down and relaxed a bit. "You looked so nervous up there" Blaise whispered into my ear and I laughed lightly. "Now to conclude this assembly i'd like to call up the two top students to come and make a short speech" Dumbledore said. I shifted my head to the left to face where Draco and Mione were sitting. "Please can Miss Granger come up to the stage" he said and i smiled. "Can Miss Moon also come up please" he added and my smile dropped.
