SPOILER ALERT FOR PREVIOUS CHAPTER!
I, once again, badly explained a plot idea (the whole Mike assassination thing), so here it goes:
1. SKITTLES doesn't like lose ends. Once an outside-hired person (a person who was hired for a job but not in the organization), they are killed.
2. Katrina's job was a) to do the whole oracle act, and b) track down Mike Brezinski, although she isn't completely aware of this task b. She is not in SKITTLES (this means she is an outside-hired person).
3. Katrina is meeting her employer (SKITTLES) on the tenth. Ben concludes, using the above information, that is the day she will be killed (see # 1). This means SKITTLES no longer needs to do her jobs (oracle act and finding Mike Brezinski).
4. If the tenth is the day they no longer need her, Ben concluded, via worst case scenario, that SKITTLES already found Mike and has a plot to kill him
