Kai walked into the kitchen with the rest of the crew. He saw the small microwave had...well...exploded. Kai was glad Thorne couldn't see, because he would most definitely flip.
" Cinder! It's gone, the entire mi--" Iko got cut off by Cinder clapping her human hand over her mouth.
"What's gone?" Thorne demanded
"Nothing! Thorne, everything is alright!" She responded
Cinder smiled at Kai, but it looked more like a grimace. "Bon apettit!" She passed out four bowls and filled each with clam chowder. She then took a rag and tried to get the remaining smoke out of the kitchen.
"Cress?" Thorne asked the small blonde haired girl
"Yes, Captain?" Cress responded
"Does the soup look... out of the ordinary?" He said. Cinder shot him a glare
"Um, no. Why?"
"The smell." he simply stated. Everyone, including Kai, picked up their bowl and smelled it.
Yes. It did smell. A very pungent scent.
"Oh my stars!" Cinder groaned "Seriously?"
"Ever thought that maybe, just maybe, some things expire?" Said Thorne
"When did it expire?" Kai asked
"About... 8 months ago." she responded
"That's the problem." Thorne stated
Cinder took the bowls and dumped them into the trash.
"How about some sandwiches instead?" She asked
"Fine by me. But you're not making them, Cinder." Thorne said
