"Don't worry about him, he's putting on a font," Kim said to Starfire.

"I worry, he may become the font," the alien girl spoke.

Kim took a moment to ponder about it, "he may diverge, but us, his family and you, his friends, as much as he denies it, we'll be able to bring him back. We'll bring each other back." She spoke turning to her new acquaintance, "probably almost family, considering you and Dick."

Starfire playfully shoved Kim, "we aren't there yet."

"But you will someday," the younger one caught the loophole.

The alien princess blushed as she changed the topic, "anyways, we're going to have some fun!" Kim stared at the alien to elaborate, "we're going to the carnival. Help the kids connect a little." Starfire stopped and stared at Kim's figure, specifically, her back and spine, "are you alright to go with?"

Kim felt her gaze and shrugged her off. "Friend healed me. I'm alright to go, barely any marks left." She said, before pausing sensing another one of Starfire's gaze, "the hair will grow back."

Entering the living room with Starfire. The latter excitedly announced that they were going to have some fun. As much as Kim understood and knew where they were going was innocent for kids, she still couldn't help but think of guns as fun. Robin had the same thoughts but mostly involving a katana and chopping down many things.

"Who's driving?" Beast Boy asked.

"Whoo!" Shouted Gar from the back of Jaylin's motorcycle in glee.

Jaylin flinched at the sound of his scream and the motorcycle swerved a bit making Gar stop. "There are microphones in the helmet. Want to scream, turn it off!" She told him furiously.

"Sorry," Gar after feeling the pain of being yelled through the speaker in his helmet apologized before following her instructions and turned off the microphone.

Reaching the entrance of the carnival, Jaylin parked her motorcycle. Shortly after Jaylin's parking, Kori's car came into view.

Gar quickly jumped off of the young woman's bike as he ran towards his best friend, "that was awesome! She was like, so fast! It felt like flying but not flying." Gar turned back to Jaylin, "thanks dude!"

"Come on Gar," Jaime spoke amused by his friend's enthusiasm as he led him behind Kori.

Showing hand-signs of where she was going to Kori the leader, she nodded her head understandingly.

A small smirk tugged her lips as she had put on her headphone set on the volume to max listeingin to nothing by Siddhartha Menon, Jaylin walked down the sidewalk outside of the carnival. Enjoying the time to herself as she walked, a van pulled up next to the young woman.

Wanting to ignore any drama that was probably going to start, she pulled her hood up and continued to walk, but was stopped by the doors of the van opening and around 6-7 men stepping out.

"What's a little girl like you doing here," the first man said in a menacing voice

The female's eye twitched at the mention of 'little' the guy was barely half an inch taller. Taking off her headphones she spoke in irritation and impatience, clear in her voice, "what do you want?"

The men around her didn't let go, they simply smiled and approached closer to her, close enough to grab her hands. "We want you little lady." The lust in their eyes was as clear as day even at night.

Just as her hand was going to grab the man's forearm, another hand intercepted.

"Huh? What do you want punk? Play hero?" The leader laughed along with the rest of the gang. Getting enough of it the leader aimed a punch towards the new guy's face.
