CHAPTER 1

LISA POV

"LISAYAH!" I wake up quickly when someone shouted and land on top of me

"Ugh! Jennieyah! You squish my little brother" I groan and fake a cry which I know Jennie would be rolling her eyes right now

"Mianhe~" She continues to pull me up "Get up now Manoban! Remember? WE have a date with Kai today" Kai again? That asshole! I'm a better man than him. I am MANoban

I scoffs before getting up "Didn't you guys fought last night?" I yawn and ask since it's not all new to me

"Y-yeah? But we quickly fix it Lili" Jennie sighs and I know she's sad about it. These months she and Kai always gets into arguments.

Let's say that Kai is a busy man. He is different because he comes from an average family unlike me and Jennie we were born with a silver spoon in our mouth.

"Then why are you still marrying him?! A man that loves you will always put you first Jennie" I wipe my face in frustration.

"He is doing it for our future Lili~Now please calm down, get ready, you're coming with me. You're my maid of honor right?" Jennie shows her puppy eyes which I can't resist. Like really and I don't get it why I'm so whipped for her even I am not her girlfriend

"Shouldn't it be "MAN" of honor?" I frown

"Just shut up and get your gay ass up Manoban!" Jennie gets up from my bed and kiss my cheeks "I'll be waiting dowstairs so don't go back to sleep" She warns then leaves

"That Kim" I hold my heating cheeks before getting out of bed. I sigh imagining the only love of my life Jennie Ruby Jane Kim, my bestfriend, my partner in crime, my first kiss, my first crush, my first love and my first heartbreak getting married with someone else

"Do it f-for your mandu. Manoban" I chuckle sadly and wipe the tears falling down my cheeks before taking a bath

"Hey mom!" I cheerfully greet and kiss her cheeks "Me and Jennie will be going out. You know "Maid of honor" thing"

"Aigoo~ I can't believe Jennie is getting married already" Mom smiles while putting down Jennie's June issue business magazine "What about we celebrate some other time while Jennie is still not married?"

"Anytime would do aunty" Jennie kisses mom's cheeks before she clings on my arm "We will also get breakfast outside aunty, want to join us?"

"To bad that I have a meeting in hour" Mom giggles but she seriously glares at me "LALISA! PROTECT YOUR BESTFRIEND ARASSO?!"

"Of course mom!" I scoff and put my arm around Jennie "No one can hurt my little sister! I will kill them if they would"

"Should I call you Lisa oppa again?" Jennie looks at me teasingly and nudges me with her elbow

"Suit yourself Kim" I chuckle then face mom again "Take care alright mom? We'll be going" Me and Jennie kiss mom's cheeks again before leaving my house

The drive towards the brunch cafe wasn't long since it's just a few blocks away from my house. It was peaceful and I can see how Jennie is excited to see that busy dog again.

Actually, I was the third wheeler of this couple always and I'm glad that dog doesn't mind and I like Kai for Jennie but that was way back...Not until he was so focus with work and obsessed with money that he already forgot Jennie. For the past 5 years of them being together? I only like the first year of their relationship even though it hurts but what can I do if he makes Jennie happy? I'm willing to have all the pain just to see that smile on her face

It just hurts that it's suffocating me and I hate my self for not being able to let Jennie go...

"Is he still late?!" I shift on my seat then look at my watch. It's been an hour and a half since we arrived and no Kai has showed up yet

"Mostly~" Jennie shrugs and sighs

"He hasn't change" I scoff "Still making you wait during your dates! Why are you still marrying him Kim?! You've been together for 5 fucking years and he is so fucking consistent on being late! He is not a man! He is a dog!"

"Li, please calm down" Jennie holds my hand

"Calm down my ass" I scoff again and grab my hand

"Lalisa Manoban! Long time no see?" I look at the person and this dog finally arrives "Hey baby~" I watch him kiss Jennie's cheeks and sits infront of me and Jennie

I scoff more louder and look at my watch "You let Jennie wait for....An hour and a half huh? New record" I give out a fake laugh while clapping my hands but soon enough I slam the table "Are you a man or not!"

I feel Jennie hold my arm "Lili~ not here please" She whispers. I take a deep breath and glare at Kai. I watch him swallow a lump in his throat and opens the menu

We ordered some foods and drinks then I let Jennie and Kai do the talking while here I am enjoying every dish on the table since this dog insists and told me he got his black card. Like bruh? I can have 10 black cards! Too bad they only allow one

"I'll just use the washroom" Jennie stands up and leaves

I quickly flash a glare at Kai "I'm telling you Jongin, if you hurt Jennie, if you still make her wait and prioritize work over her? I promise to myself, I will take her away from you, where can never find her" I coldly stated

"C-calm down L-lisa, I've worked all the way up. I promise after our wedding? I will stay more at home with her" He said but later on sighs "It's just that I'm just working hard to give her a good life. You know my dad just works at their company"

"Don't promise, do it!" I scoff for the nth time

"Can I have a favor?"

I look at him and raise my eyebrows "What?"

"The wedding is next month and my boss is sending me on a business trip for 2 week-"

I didn't let him finish and slam the table "Bullshit!"
